A Malbec with beautiful, deep red color with violet hues. Sweet aromas of blackberries and plums with an elegant touch of smoke and vanilla. Velvety texture and a sweet, long aftertaste. — 9 years ago
I highly recommend decanting. This wine is majestic. It really evolves. At first uptight and no nonsense. It plays hard to get. Then over time it begins to come into its own acknowledging black fruit and currants then whispering some bell pepper and finally just sighing with a hint of and I mean just a hint of smoke. — 10 years ago
The best bars & wines....Smoke, leather & perfume. — 11 years ago
Fuck me! I have never had a Leoville Barton at this level! The nose actually made me hard. Probably smelled it for 15 minutes before my wife told me to eat my damn dinner. This is one sexy bitch. Total balance. Great complexity. Wanting for nothing. Give it a 30 minute decant and sit back and enjoy. I'd happily trade a 2010 Hundred Acre for another one of these. Not going to bullshit you with hints of truffle and smoke and other bullshit...this is just damn fine wine...thy I have had way too much of tonight😳 — 9 years ago
12' Sea Smoke Streamside Chardonnay. Last time I tried this particular bottle...made a note saying WAIT. It hasn't quite been a year.
Light golden in color(slightly darker then a year ago )Medium-ish body. This acidity has settled down since I had this last year(it needed to) quite nicely. Tropical flavors are still pronounced in the wine. Yellow apple, pear, pineapple, nutmeg & vanilla. Secondary flavors are starting to open up. Would enjoy trying this again in 2/3 years. — 10 years ago
Slightly tart but enjoyable. — 10 years ago
Smooth and silky. Berry, spice, smoke and subtle tannins. Loved it! — 11 years ago
Surpisingly creamy and wet. Hints of cherry and appricot. Not your typical cab. — 13 years ago
Smooth and light but rich flavor (TalentConnect2018) — 7 years ago
From a pristine bottle with a 4cm fill and an appropriate cork. Reddish tawny color with reddish amber rims. Barely translucent. Looks young for its age. Notes of rich warm fruit, cassis, smoke, some cedar planks, and a whole lot of leather saddle. Incredibly rich in the mouth. Silky. Long impactful finish. This wine appears to have no end of life in sight for it. Guesses were all in the 1980’s. Amazing wine. BDay dinner 10/12. — 7 years ago
Everything I could possibly want it to be at this age. Damsons and blackcurrant, meat, smoke, earth. Depth, power, complexity. Packs a huge punch (I laughed when I first put my nose in it) yet stays dainty and elegant. A hippo in a tutu doing a startlingly good pirouette, a wild animal and an aristocrat. Am almost frightened by how good this will be when fully mature. — 10 years ago
The best pinot noir ever. Shared with family tastes even better — 10 years ago
Had it with some Alta Langa Carboncino goat cheese. Really really good pairing. The wine has licorice and cherry notes with a little spice from the Syrah. Very easy and enjoyable. — 11 years ago

In the name of research, a quick test to mark this young Super Tuscsan. I must say the first sip after decant is promising. I believe in time, this will be a great Tig that will show well. Nice dark currant with hint of smoke. Will lay the others down 5-7 more years. — 7 years ago
