12' Sea Smoke Streamside Chardonnay. Last time I tried this particular bottle...made a note saying WAIT. It hasn't quite been a year.
Light golden in color(slightly darker then a year ago )Medium-ish body. This acidity has settled down since I had this last year(it needed to) quite nicely. Tropical flavors are still pronounced in the wine. Yellow apple, pear, pineapple, nutmeg & vanilla. Secondary flavors are starting to open up. Would enjoy trying this again in 2/3 years. — 10 years ago

From a pristine bottle with a 4cm fill and an appropriate cork. Reddish tawny color with reddish amber rims. Barely translucent. Looks young for its age. Notes of rich warm fruit, cassis, smoke, some cedar planks, and a whole lot of leather saddle. Incredibly rich in the mouth. Silky. Long impactful finish. This wine appears to have no end of life in sight for it. Guesses were all in the 1980’s. Amazing wine. BDay dinner 10/12. — 8 years ago
Clear, deep ruby with tears. Clean nose, mid plus aroma strength of red cherry, dried fruit, smoke, toast, mocha, spice and leather. Dry, high acidity, high tannin, mid plus alc, mid plus body, mid plus flavor strength. With mid plus finish. Very good wine, can age — 10 years ago

I have had this wine in my cellar for 30 years. I'm glad I kept it. It is exquisite Bordeaux. With complex mixture of tobacco and leather, with smoke. — 11 years ago

Smoke, barnyard, bell pepper. Elegant and silky. Delightful. Mouthwatering. Quality. — 9 years ago
No decant needed. BBQ smoke, black pepper, beefy, fatty, bloody, little funk, slight floral lift at the end. Black fruit, herb and black pepper palate. Medium acid, medium length finish. Really good stuff. Sub $50 N. Rhone that checks all the boxes. — 10 years ago

Incredible Bordeaux; definitely in my top 10; 2000 vintage recommended by “1001 wines”; it delivered. Very smooth, warm, delicate, long lasting fruit without offensive oak or smoke, but still feel their presence. Bravo! — 8 years ago
