A year later getting the pleasure to open this wine again. The color is a deep inky purple garnet with some noticeable bricking. An expressive nose of chocolate, dark cherry and stewed meat. Scents of pencil lead, pine and rustic oak notes follow. What can I say! So exquisitely balanced and layered giving a an overall creamy feel to the palate. Taste is full of black cherry fruit, dark chocolate, cedar, minerals and charcoal. The finish is long lingering with robust plum. Absolutely delicious and a wonderful way to please the senses on this Friday night! — 5 years ago

Very smooth. Very nice combination with red pasta sauce. Definitely will buy again — 6 years ago
Six grapes is probably my favorite port. I don’t drink it often because the alcohol content in ports are so high that I can’t have that much of it. That being said, if your day is complete and the honey-dew-list is checked off, go ahead and indulge. — 8 years ago
Really enjoyed this as an evening sipper by itself. Subtle notes of the bourbon barrel, fairly well balanced. Would get again, especially for price. — 9 years ago
The 2019 Lafite-Rothschild is a mesmerizing wine that shows how compelling the vintage is on the Left Bank. Elegant, creamy and exquisitely layered, the 2019 Lafite conquers all the senses. There is tremendous density and power that belies the 12.8% alcohol, but then again, that can be the magic of Bordeaux. Classic Lafite red plum fruit, spice, cedar, licorice and rose petal linger on the striking, persistent finish. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2022)

The 2005 Viña Tondonia Rioja Reserva Blanco is a sensational blend of 90% Viura with 10% Malvasia all sourced from the Viña Tondonia Vineyard. The wine was aged for six years in American oak barrels and then for an additional six years in bottle prior to release. The wine itself begins with intense aromas of salted pear, marzipan, smoked pineapple and hints of apricot all taking shape beautifully in the glass. Bright and intense, with a gorgeous mouthfeel, this wine delivers both a silky texture and lithe minerality. Hugely complex flavors of wet stone, green apple, smoke and starfruit all combine on the palate. Gorgeous and generous now, with an exceedingly long finish, this beautiful wine has decades ahead of it. Drink 2019-2038- 95 — 7 years ago

Not sure how many people are aware of this Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. If you are not I would highly recommend you check it out. Medium acids with earthy fruit and somehow very rich. I really enjoy this wine. — 5 years ago

Very nice, but fairly typical cold weather Pinot noir. Could easily be Oregon, could be Swiss. Really quite nice. — 4 years ago
