Bought this 2 years ago at Fort Sill OK when Cody graduated basic training. It is from an OK winery. Finally opened it to celebrate not thinking it would be so fantastic! Sweeter than I normally like but light, smooth and savory!! I am going to order some for Christmas!! — 10 years ago
A little more body than some other pinot grigios, but sill light fruity and good balance. Nice smooth finish to drink alone or with pasta fresca. — 10 years ago
This hand-crafted Chardonnay is barrel fermented and aged in mostly French oak (guessing a small amount of new oak, if any, as oak is not dominating the wine as most CA Chardonnays do) ending with some time in steel tanks which provides an elegant freshness to the wine. The terroir for this Chardonnay is perfect, cool wind swept Sonoma Coast Petaluma Gap with clay like volcanic soils. Great depth of gentle fruit aromas with floral and a mineral character. On the palate layers of subtle extraordinary fruit, apricot and poached pear with spiced lemon and a touch of light almond toast, luxurious yet has a powerful savory freshness. Very well balanced, layered with elegance and persistent length that ends with a graceful minerality. Truly outstanding, will continue to improve over the next decade if you are disciplined enough to cellar a few bottles, not me, this is gorgeous now! Grab a few bottles before they are gone! Sill a big boy, primary fruit and firm tannins. — 10 years ago
Very rich nose and sill has great acidity for the age. — 10 years ago
Big, built and viscous. Almost as if the fruit needs a bit more help with the tannins to balance it out. Decanted for an hour to take the edge off the ‘15 but ended up with a largely over-oaked finish. After the fruit-forward approach. Very good and solid wine... just me picking the pepper out of the fly sh*t. Sill a solid buy. — 7 years ago
Champion of the evening. Ripe and confected red fruit. If you lightly dusted a cherry with brown sugar and left it on a sunny window sill you'd have this scent. Palate is super satisfying, you get exactly what you've been promised. Lovely bright acid. Well integrated tannin. Not super heated despite the 14.5% alcohol. Great balance. I blame this wine for all the strangely confident and bizarrely worded texts I sent to many friends and old bosses at 2AM. — 7 years ago

Opened for 3 days before I tasted this. Just starting to soften. Beautiful nose, good fruit, but the spice and grip has softened a little. But that's after 3 days. Sill has that ethereal Barolo quality though. — 9 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Very special hand-crafted and unique Rosé, elegant, made with Sonoma Chardonnay (98%) adding a kiss of Rutherford Bench Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (2%), and in my opinion far better than the Rosé that herald from southeastern France where some of the best are produced. I have never tasted anything like this previously. Small production, grapes fermented and aged from French white oak wood staves from Allier, Nevers and Tronçais Haute Futaie forests, known for their sought after wood, with tighter grains. Stunning deep orange/salmon color with exceptional depth of fruit brought out by the small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon providing a beautiful fruit/floral character. On the palate layers of subtle extraordinary rich fruit, ripe melon pear with a hint of raspberry and citrus adding vanilla and very light subtle toasty oak, luxurious with a graceful savory freshness. Very well balanced, layered with elegance and persistent length with an ending that comes back with fruit and vanilla spice adding some minerality. Truly outstanding, will continue to improve if you decide to cellar a bit! For me, hard to resist drinking now! Grab a few bottles and give one to your Mother for a special day, before they are gone!
