Wow. So well made. Pure cherry juice on the palate. So fresh. Some minerality. Reminds me of pomnier Bourgogne rouge a bit stylistically. A wine you can drink but so well made you have to appreciate the artistry. Lovely finish. Clingy texturally a bit
I like the nose. Very clean cherry. A hint of cherry licorice.
As@this opens much better Sappier. Really sick fruit. Nose gets a touch of blueberry. More spice

A wine tasting vertical that i missed due to being sick! :( Four vintages of Poyferre, Barton and Cases. Among the vintages, 1985, 1989, 1995 and 2000) — 12 years ago
Stunning nose of citrus, spice and green tea. Grapefruit. Pink grapefruit. Confectionary. Slate. Soupy and savory. Herbs. Green tea. First flush sencha. Urinal cake. Layered. Ethereal. Superstar nose. Just stunning. Palate is round and intensely concentrated and dazzlingly complex. Sappy and so refined. Wow. This is a powerful wine but so so elegant and refined. Peppery, spicy complexity. Juicy and complex. Dense and structured. Citrus, lime tart, stunning mineral density on the eternally long finish. Sick. Verging on 9.7 after 3 hours of air. Just insane wine. Will age 25+ years. — 5 years ago
Sick sick wine that is really in the ZONE. Sick nose. Honeysuckle, iris, white flowers, tropical fruits, big granite and wet stones. Complex and airy with wonderful layered and nuanced complexity. Baroque yet chiseled. Rich, unctuous and textured with fabulous custard like texture and lovely acidic snap. Big structure but it’s so juicy and so balance it’s ridiculously drinkable. Long finish of earth and wet stones with some honey. Stunning. — 7 years ago
Forget that this is monthelie. Forget the low price. This is sick burgundy. Florent garaudet is an effing genius. Cherry licorice nose. Hint of earth. Just awesome. Cherry spice on the palate. Deep. Fresh. Juicy. Awesome spicy internal aromatics. Lingering finish. Will be at peak in 2 years but this is sick sick sick sick wine. Wow. Bought from Fass selections. — 9 years ago
An alternative yet delicious take on Cabernet from a cooler region of California. The fruit is pure and dynamic, with high toned black berry and red plum notes. The wine lacks the tannins of it's Napa contemporaries but it makes up for that with much better acidity, price and elegance. This is a wine that will impress the wine nerds sick of tasting Cab after Cab after Cab that all taste like oak and juice. — 10 years ago

Crisp white stoned fruit with a dry, bitting finish. — 12 years ago
Insane Marbach. Wet stones, Meyer lemon, hints of cherry. Huge minerals. Complex, dense and juicy. Powerful and concentrated with an insane finish. Just so complex. This is just brilliant. Nose keeps changing. Vulcanized rubber, almost tannic like finish. Massive structure. Amazing finish. One of the best young wines from Andi I’ve ever had. Just sick. — 6 years ago
Earth on the nose. Nice plum flavors. Some spice. Nice liveliness on the palate. Well made for what it is. Solid Tuesday night wine. I’m having with steak n Roquefort sauce. Vive la France ... ok getting even better as it opens. More savory. Burgundian ? Pommardian ? Mos def dense in an elegant good way. Nose is getting sick. I love drinking well made wines. They get so much more interesting as they open. ... almost a Rhône burgundy cross. Very elegant. Bizarre. But great. — 6 years ago
Sick nose. So mineral. But also a sense of gras. Sugar snap peas, fresh herbs, saltiness, a sense of deepness. White pepper, some possible citrusy or vineyard peach but overwhelmed by mineral. The palate is extraordinary. It’s actually taken me aback how well this wine has done with the 2-4 years of aging. Wow does it have sap and extract for days. Long and mouth-coating on the finish. But it’s a mineral blizzard on the attack. What a wine. Just stunning. So crisp. So long. Outrageous showing. — 7 years ago
Stunning. Brilliant. Super aromatic nose that screams out of the glass with spice, dark plums and big red cherries. Such purity. Mineral, floral and super cherry and just crazy aromas only reserved for top Burg talents. Palate is just oozing with sappy red fruits, amazingly opulent texture, richness, fat, energy and big tannins. Amazingly juicy and explosive wine. So much there. So sick. Genius genius wine. — 8 years ago

Classic Meursault nose. Opulent and mineral. Some nutty iodine notes as well. Palate has huge acidity and volume. Sick wine. — 11 years ago
A little delicious PN after a tough day with sick kids. Bought at the Wine Cask futures offering in 2005. This is typically pale, ruby colored, fresh as expected for Sta Rita Hills. With aromas of peppery stems, cola, red fruits and plum skin. Still fresh and savoury with a distinct mineral undertone. Well done. — 12 years ago

Yowza. This is crazy. Stunning mid season cherry. Just phenomenal pure, deep and clear cherry. Sick clarity here. 9.6 nose. Just insane. Stones, soil, licorice as well. Floral. So focused. Amazing fruit clarity here. Top notch. Superb concentration and power. Sappy and so pure. Electric freshness and just ridiculous energy. This is so balanced, deep and well made. Big noble tannins that are perfectly ripe and just gorgeous. Juicy clean fruit and so stoney and mineral. Utterly classic and superb Pommard. 103 year old vines. — 5 years ago
