So long since I’ve had a Rockpile wine and loved this!! Black and green pepper along with dark berries (raspberry and blackberry). An excellent jam flavor that just fits so well with bbq ribs. — 5 years ago
Bought this at the winery 3 years ago on a trip to visit Iron Horse for their 40th anniversary. Wish I’d bought a case. Drank it with grilled salmon with tamari/soy sauce/hot mustard glaze. Simply divine. — 7 years ago
I think Carol Sheltons Lodi pizazz zin is a great representation of Sonoma fruit. #massive, jammy. Just right for our first fire on a cool NJ night. — 8 years ago

2007 vintage. Purchased this for our wedding box in 2014 to be opened on our 5 year anniversary. Opened it in 2019. Tobacco and cherries. Smooth and easy to drink. — 7 years ago
2014 vintage. Field blend (Zinfandel, Carignane, Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouchet and other varieties) from a vineyard planted in 1922. Russian River Valley AVA. Intense aromas of blackberry and black cherries intertwined with spices and a hint of leather. Layers of black fruits and spices, with great balancing acidity and a very long spicy aftertaste. The 14,8 % abv is hardly noticeable. Wow! Another great effort from Carol Shelton! — 9 years ago
93% Chardonnay and 7% Roussanne from Carol's Estate Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley. Pretty nose with ripe nectarine, flowers and a subtle touch of fresh herbs. Round and juicy with impeccably integrated wood and balancing acidity. Nice length with subtle spiciness and a touch of almonds. Terrific value. Like a hypothetical blend of Burgundy and white Châteauneuf-du-Pape. — 9 years ago
This is a small town beauty pageant winner - rural North Carolina channeling the Right Bank... gorgeous brooding ripe almost stewed plum, blackberry & boysenberry mingled with dusty edges, spices, savory and a wild savage forestry-herbaceousness. Medium bodied w/firm tannins backbone - an absolute pleasure that absolutely over-delivers @ $17. .1 bump for locale & price point — 5 years ago
Big aroma. Jammy jammy upfront. Raspberries and dark blackberries. Then a strawberry finish. Mild lingering dryness — 6 years ago
