Cant tell which varietal this is. I believe Zinfandel blend? Very bold. Not spicy, but not profile. Lots of oak. Enjoying with thick New York cut. — 5 months ago
First open, used Coravin on night one. Cotton candy first hit on the nose. Blows off and you get more melon. On the palette, oak, butter, then acidity hits. Too much going on to really enjoy the wine. On night two, much more mellow and enjoyable. More of the oak/butter style while I prefer something closer to Mayacamas/Mount Eden — 6 months ago

Lovely Merlot. Will gladly drink again. — 4 years ago
Oaky berry campfire. Not a typical cab. Lay down a few years to take off some fruit for some more substance. — 7 years ago

Began in 1944, Mario Incisa acquired Cab Sauv & Franc vine cuttings, planted them on San Guido estate, called Castiglioncello, Sassicaia, "the place of many stones". A blend of 85% Cab Sauv, 15% Cab Franc. Lovely ripe fruit & spice aromas. Bold berry fruit flavors with spice, oak, leather & cacao, a powerhouse. Soft tannins allows current enjoyment. Long silky smooth fresh finish ending with fruit, oak and spice. Great now, will age, but drink now, outstanding. Little pricey at $300. Tasting Sample. — 6 months ago
Blend of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot, aged in French oak for about 18 months, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruit, sweet spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with tobacco spice, toasty oak and floral notes. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice, oak and mineral character, Nice, should age well. — 7 months ago
Lots of forward fruit, red currant and blackberry. Subtle mid palate. Just a nip of tannins on the finish. Overall smooth and easy drinking. — 4 years ago
Full flavor. Not too jammy. — 7 years ago
2001 vintage (great Napa cab year). Good, upper-shoulder fill. Dryish cork. Decanted with plenty of sed. Lots of color. Tasted immediately. Smoky plummy nose. Still medium-heavy body. Showing well with plenty of front-palate richness evident in the gums. Overt "oakiness" gone with only complimentary, flattering oak framing the composition at this point. A hint of tannins on the finish but you've got to know where to look. Summer-school hedonism. Slightly better than expected. 11.30.23. — 5 months ago
Perfume nose with some blackberry hints. Sticky mouthfeel with a vanilla flavor, long legs with a good amount of heat on the finish. Mouthfeel turns velvety at the end of the pallet with a raspberry compote note. — 6 months ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and spice scents. On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach, pineapple and lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on a nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with oak, vanilla, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A beautiful Chardonnay. Pair this with a Swordfish steak topped with balsamic roasted tomatoes. — 6 months ago
Well balanced cab. No parts too much or little. Firm tannins, some fruit — 8 months ago
Aroma includes Oak, fig. Still tannic and acidic. It is better to decant it. Dry. Red fruits. It is not party wine, but the one enjoyed by taking time. 2015 @1400, wine plus, 221104 — 2 years ago
