Very Smooth — 6 years ago
Such a stellar project brought forth by Band of Vintners 👊🏻 Comprised of Mark Porembski, Stephane Vivier, Dan Petroski, Cameron Hobel, Barrett Anderson, Brennan Anderson, and Jason Heller, the BoV pulled strings, called in favors, worked their networks, and utilized their collective winemaking experience to produce this outstanding QPR selection. It’s classic Napa through-and-through with black currant, blackberry liqueur, fresh boysenberry, black cherry, damp violets, coffee, fresh leather, tobacco, and a flawless hint of vanilla and baking spices. This soft and silky offering is dynamite; I’m glad I have more on hand and that it can be purchased right down the road from me. This is a win 💪🏻 — 7 years ago
Borgonya côte d'or inicialment reduït amb aromes fruitats , cos present i gustos de palla , poma verda i fruits secs. Pithyviers de pigeon a Le Vivier. — 8 years ago
Beautiful pinot - all spice and pure strawberry fruit. Fresh. Not much in the way of structure, but really quaffable. Reminds me of Sexton Applejack in red fruit purity. Buy. — 4 years ago
Spiced baked apple and a rich palate, but with enough freshness to balance. — 4 years ago
Magnificent Blend of Pinot Noir (dominant) and Gamay. Unfiltered Loire wine "Nature". Very lively nose and mouth, with volume, freshness, juicy fresh fruit (the non-addition of sulfur is felt a lot on this point). Aging brings complex aromas of spices, and discreetly woody. Delicious texture and finish. — 6 years ago
2013 opened in 2018. Nice bright fruit flavor, but not quite as smooth as I prefer — 7 years ago
Sherry casket. Light and lightly sweet and spicy. Nice Irish. — 8 years ago
Deep Crimson with reddish purple rim. Lovely complex perfume of Black Cherries Earth Stalks Twigs and Light Pepper from partial or full whole bunch ferment I suspect. Palate of cherries with earthy notes of Medium Intensity. This is their less expensive General Cuvée in contrast to their individual Vineyard Cuvees like Sexton Applejack Tarraford etc. From the much lauded 2015 vintage in the Yarra. 2015 seems to be one of those great world wide vintages like 1990. Great in most parts of Australia and New Zealand. Also in Bordeaux Burgundy and France generally it appears. Mediterranean countries. Not sure about North or South America? — 8 years ago
Blanc potent amb fusta, aromes de fruit verd , acidesa perfecte amb gust final de pomes i fruits secs. Le Vivier. Isle sur Sorgue. — 9 years ago
Very good p/q. Reminds me of Giant Steps Applejack/Sexton. Clean red fruit, lavender, with a deeper spice note. There is Gibbston/Otago deep spice, then you get pure red strawberry. No discernible tannin, and acid is subdued, but at this pricepoint this is a buy. — 4 years ago
Phenomenal, really nice expression of Sebastopol Hills and its higher elevation subtlety. Dark fruit, spices, good structure based on smooth tannins and solid acidity. — 5 years ago
Between Applejack and Sexton, this displays strawberries all day, with twists of mushroom funk, sandalwood spice, and red cherries. Good — 6 years ago
So I was feeling great when the Somm recommended this after the vivier. Perfect spice with fruit. Probably the best Malbec I've ever had. — 8 years ago
2014 was delicious. You all know I am a red wine drinker, but this one is a must in the summer heat and especially by the pool. Easy to drink, kick back and enjoy. Cheers! — 8 years ago
