Soft, fruity and light. — 8 years ago
When you hike in the Finger Lakes, you can easily think you're in Burgundy or Alsace. The topography is very close and the climate is just a little more continental. So the choice of grape varieties follows naturally. Pear, apple, and a little pineapple fruit come across in this wine. It has some stony and steely minerality, but less than typical for this region. There's a lot of vanilla and butter, with smoke and oak. These latter elements are too strong in my opinion. And the acidity is a little too weak. If that and the fruit were stronger this would be on par with Chablis. So it's a little off balance. But I enjoyed it very much with a salmon salad. — 8 years ago
Has that petrol you would expect out of an aged riesling. This plus some fruity Granny Smith apples! — 9 years ago

I was impressed by this Cabernet Franc from the Finger Lakes. For wine lovers who like very light reds. Perfumed lavender nose with bright raspberry flavors and smooth texture. Pop in frig for 10 minutes before serving for full enjoyment. This is just the type of red I want to drink during the summer. — 9 years ago

Buttery, slightly acidic and a tarty dryer finish. Citrusy lime and kiwi. Clean and crisp, almost sour — 7 years ago

Excellent and complex. Minerality and many different fruit overtones. Decently dry for Riesling. — 8 years ago
My first love when it comes to Finger Lakes Reds. Not a great vintage for Reds, but the shorter growing season for pinot snuck this one in under the radar. Lots of cherries and a hint of maybe olives? It has some lively acidity that makes it dance on your tongue. It's got the red strength without being overpowering. Beautiful with seafood. — 9 years ago

Love it. pH 3.0 - wow. Acid, lemon and lime peel. And a healthy dose of petrol. — 9 years ago
Exceptional year in upstate New York! Wagner only makes their Meritage blend from the best of the best years! A cooler climate red blend with great balance between darker fruit flavors, tannins and oak. — 10 years ago
