Had the 2015 reisling kabinett. Fantastic! Just a touch of sweetness. Fruity. Acidity and tanin are mild, just the way i like it. Definitely stocking this up for christmas party this year — 7 years ago
Rich exotic fruit, wonderfully balanced. Drink it now or keep it for another six years (or more) — 7 years ago
Botrytis but with enough acidity to lift it and keep it from being flabby. Well balanced. Tasted at Rieslingfeier 2017. — 7 years ago
My go to from the Selbachs — 8 years ago
This wine is no less of an achievement, all things considered, than Produttori del Barbaresco's Barbaresco. It embodies everything I love about the Saar and about the basic wines of Germany; wines which are not terribly complex, but which nonetheless are possessed of very great purity. This is 8% alcohol, and per the Thiese catalog, about 10 g/L acid and 25 g/L rs, and at those numbers, its on the dry side of feinherb. Its got the citrus, the green, the slate, and the orchard. I would gladly drink this wine every day, as I did similar wines when I worked in the Saar. — 9 years ago
Honeysuckle, honey, lavender, lemon, and petrol on the nose. Honey and citrus on the palate with a mineral backbone. Matched perfectly with spicy Thai. — 4 years ago
JL Selbach tasting 11/16/17. Fragrant floral white flowers hay petrol complex nose. Palate acidic and not quite up to expectations with nice finish. 10.5ABV. Halbtrocken. — 6 years ago

This is the Riesling I’ve been looking for. Paired nicely with sushi. — 6 years ago
Had a Selbach QbA reisling at a restaurant. Not sure what variety or year but it was very good. Fairly sweet and very drinkable. — 7 years ago
Nothing but excellence from Selbach. A little on the sweeter side, notes of pineapple, apple, and overripe peach. But the beauty of SB Rieslings is their crunchy acidity and refreshing minerality. I find that it dampens the sweetness of this wine to find a very nice balance at the finish. It starts sweet, and ends smooth. Their philosophy is to let the grapes speak for themselves, and these sing to high heaven with pleasurable sweetness, zipping acidity and balance. — 7 years ago

A favorite. Dry, crisp and clean. — 8 years ago
2005 vintage. Wines like this are the reason I place Riesling above all other varietals. Incredibly complex, with pear skin, candied lime, some petrol (not a bad thing), white flowers, crisp malic acidity, and a beautifully light body. I would have expected more weight, but was delighted with it's feminine grace. — 9 years ago
