A very nice gift of a very nice wine. More stereotypical cali than my normal Sandhi chards. — 6 years ago
Smooth citrus and tropical flavor, not too tart, pairs nicely with salmon. — 8 years ago
Classic Pinot. Soft on the tongue but full of flavor. — 8 years ago
Definitely can taste the connection between Evening Land and Sandhi. Overall it's very nice. Excellent mouth feel, not buttery. — 9 years ago

A not-too-distant relative of Sandhi. — 8 years ago
Very interesting to taste this pitted against the Sandhi Pinot posted just previously. Similar in so many ways yet so different! Foraged strawberries, earth, rosewater. Tannins with a light grip like a partner lightly squeezing your palm during a horror film even though they claimed to be fearless. Bright, restless acidity. Smart and worldly. Alive and well. — 8 years ago
😲!!!! I've fallen in love. This is ethereal juice. Svelte, lean, orange peel, wild strawberry, cranberry, game, flowers, funk. So complex. The nose pumps out aromas out of the glass. One of the best pinots in all of America. @June's All Day, Austin TX — 9 years ago
So Burgundian! Tasting with Raj — 11 years ago
Umami, green tea nose with a smooth, jammy flavor. Lingers for a bit with a touch of heat. Quite tasty! — 11 years ago
So beautiful! — 13 years ago
Precise and fresh and balanced. Toasted coconut on the nose. Hints of flint. — 6 years ago
This was clearly California but in a restrained style. Cherries and baking spice. Really great after some air. Please try storm before Sandhi or other rich people’s wines in SB county. — 6 years ago
Outstanding Syrah from Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley, a site Rajat Parr has been exploring for a number of years (some, in collaboration with Piedrasassi) to craft a California Syrah to match the northern Rhône best ones (if you've read Rajat Parr's Atlas of Taste, you know he's obsessed with Thierry Allemand). Lively, balanced, delicious. — 7 years ago
Can't believe I got this for $22! Ripe strawberry and raspberry, hint of spices, and lots of green, vegetal notes. Gorgeous! — 8 years ago
A brilliant balance of deliciousness and complexity that makes it easy to drink the whole bottle without ever thinking about things like when it was disgorged... — 9 years ago
