Enjoyed this bubbly BFF picked fav! Had forgotten about it.. just the perfect sweetness but not overly too much where more than a glass would cause headache/sour stomach. She served it with a meat/cheese/olive tray & dark chocolates for BookClub night! Will be buying myself some!!! — 5 years ago
Aromas are sea salt and herbal. Beautiful light straw color. Crisp with a depth of silky warmth. Floral hint for a touch of elegance. — 6 years ago

Smoke, sea salt and peat. Soft and delicate fruit. Great 10 year old drinking — 8 years ago
Preserved lemon, sea salt, rocks and screaming acid. A lot of complexity in a very defined wine. Almost has a tannic grip to it. Wondering what RS there might be to balance this acid. — 8 years ago
I agree w the salt & minerality calls on this beautiful wine. Also excellent w fried chicken! — 10 years ago
always love txakolina. this one is super minerally, heavy dose of salt and brine, good bite of lime, and some pear to round it out. this is a really enjoyable, crisp bottle but is one touch too austere (dry + salty) for me. one extra bit of roundness and acid (if that makes any sense) to cut against the salt and this is a total home run but still very enjoyable. — 5 years ago
1981. Super smooth. Tobacco salt — 5 years ago
Gummy worms and sea salt nose, elderberry and lemon syrup mouth, fantastic ripe mouthfeel, strange but very pleasant — 6 years ago
Had at Woodberry for Elliot’s birthday. Clean, crisp with a bit of sea salt. Really lovely — 6 years ago
My go to rose. Reminds me of my birthday during the spring! Vibrant, joyful and fresh- the nose brings a delicate floral note and strawberries. The palate has lime zest, candied/salt dipped strawberries, ripe raspberries and cherry blossoms. Very balanced and tastes structured for such a young wine. If I was stranded on an island with one wine for the rest of my life this might be it. — 6 years ago
I like the wine! Great place to enjoy some Texas wine. The SaltLick — 8 years ago
Learning new thangs: mushroom, smoke, bright, salt, texture. Abv 15%!!! And wildly balanced. We were poured entry level '15 from same producer n thought 'wow tropical Mom wine w/ punishingly long finish' — 8 years ago
Liquid minerals & salt , pure Saumur goodness — 8 years ago
The salt ponds from Point Judith Pond, RI get 96 points and the Wiannos from Cape Cod, MA get 97 points. This 100 point system is so great for enjoying food and wine! — 9 years ago
Perfumed purple flowers, dried herbs, salt and smoke(!) aromas lead into Bing & black cherry, ripe raspberry, red & just ripe black plum, all framed by salty minerals, acidity could be a bit higher, but super-fine tannins make up the space. — 10 years ago
Effervescent; Brook likes it; good balance — 5 years ago
Texas wines have grown. This is an outstanding blend of Grenache Syrah and Mourvèdre from Salt Lick Vineyard. This is a complex wine with great structure and finesse. Great to see the Lone Star State wines mature and compete in the world stage. Visited the Fall Creek Vineyards. Well worth it can’t get it retail because of the limited production but can get it online. New release of the 2016 vintage. Excellent! — 6 years ago
It’s a beaut. Funk, pear, smoke, salt, acid, and richness at a v sensible 12% abv. — 6 years ago
Like all our favorite Etnas, so very minerally. Rock salt. We had with cuttlefish and Italian seafood pasta. Perfectly paired. — 7 years ago
A light and delicate rose with a touch of strawberry and a hint of salt. A nice clean finish with some lingering acidity. — 8 years ago
Bright, rustic, with substance and great structure. Treat yourself -- big, fat ribeye at med rare to medium, nothing but a touch of salt, pepper, Rosemary and good hot bread and butter on the side. The trinity — 8 years ago
Delicious. Seasonal. — 10 years ago

Wednesday Wine Committee hosted by Dan. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. Tasted blind as usual.
I guessed the producer was Marcassin. At the end of the day, Marcassin is just so distinct when compared to other Cali chards, and it’s always magnificent (for my taste). Smoked lemon, grilled marshmallows, sea salt, popcorn kernel and almost sulfuric. Impeccable. — 5 years ago
