Volcanic soil for the win right here. — 7 years ago
This one has been sitting in the wine cabinet for a couple of years. It's not bad. Eric wasn't crazy about it. Probably because it wasn't dry enough. I liked the strong berry componant. — 8 years ago
Had the 2011, excellent! — 9 years ago
Italy. White. Sicilian.
100% Malvasia grapes. This was a really interesting one; got hints of sea salt more than fruit (maybe some lemon and nectarine), straw color, thick compared to most Italian white blend/moscato/Pinot Grigio...more like a chardonnay consistency but no buttery taste - tasted much lighter. Think of cooking with butter vs olive oil - this is more like olive oil. Went wonderfully with seafood (spaghetti alle vongole)...used it to cook the dish too. Don’t really taste the alcohol (13.5% alc. by vol.). I really liked it and it was unlike other whites I’ve tried. More expensive than other whites I’ve tried but I definitely would get it again as I felt it had more depth. Not a sparkling or wine with “zing”. — 5 years ago

Very sweet and flavorful. Berries, but maybe a little chocolate. Raspberry aftertaste. Really enjoyed this. — 5 years ago
