This is a ruby red gem at 14.0% ABV. Italy's Puglua IGP Zinfandel is labelled Primitivo. An bold aroma of blackberry fruit, fresh plum, and a hint of raspberry jam is met with a palate reflective of aromas. Mouthwatering, fleshy, flavourful, medium + tannins, medium bodied, medium plus fruit, this wine has tertiary notes of earthiness. This wine is a wonderfully captured expression of warm climate — 9 years ago
Really nice complex red wine. Excellent with heavy Italian food. — 11 years ago

Wine spectator says #69 of top 100 of 2014.
A burly, brambly red, underscored by tarry smoke and underbrush notes, offering flavors of blackberry coulis, herb-marinated black olive, grilled mushroom and ground spice. This shows muscle that recommends it to short-term cellaring, made accessible by integration and balance. Drink now through 2024. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. #69 – 91 points — 6 years ago
Any wine that can shine from a plastic cup deserves extra kudos. Mistook for a Northern nebbiolo with its structure, detail, & balance, but the fruit is pure southern, pomegranate & black currants. Eye opener (esp for 30$ list). Want to re taste in proper stemware. I think 80% nero di trioa 20% montulpiciano — 8 years ago
My reading speech for itself. I enjoy it very much — 10 years ago
