I sort of enjoyed this at Vinto in PC,UT. Black cherry, rhubarb, rusty nails. Medium body. It took about 20 minutes to show itself.

Intense red fruit aroma of black cherry and ripe plum with a touch of mineral funk. Some deeper secondary notes of smoke, cured meat, cigar box, black pepper and savory herbs made this an interesting glass. On second tasting, this has a pronounced dark rich earthiness which dominates the nose, with the red fruit really showing on the palate with a lingering, slightly sweet fruity finish. Nice value at ~$13.

Black Love. Passamante named for the vineyards neighboring forest where forbidden lovers would meet for intercourse.

One of the best values in wine. Period. Rich, smokey wet earth on the palate.

2013 Negroamaro. Funky, meaty, smokey wet black earth nose. Fruit comes through on the palate, well made and the nose is the star of the show.

One of the best Italian reds I’ve had this price point. Had at Katie’s Pizza and Pasta.

Smells like a peat bog.
Earthy, decomposing, dark fruits, big juicy Brett of a mouthful.
Negroamaro is a highly underrated grape. Such big flavour, and a hefty weight.
Can you dig it? Yes, I can.

This should have cost me more than $9. Concentrated cinnamon, clove. Negroamaro - who knew?
