#2005 #LaGeynale #Cornas #RobertMichel My favorite grape, #Syrah from my favorite region, #NorthernRhone ❤️ The Deep, dark purple/red color seduces you before your lips even touch the glass. "You had me at Hello..." (is what I may have said out loud actually) 😊. This wine is like a tall, sexy, brooding man with all the right moves😗😘. Once you taste it there's really no turning back... Savory, lightly spicy, rustic yet refined at the same time... This is a very unique and gorgeous bottle of wine. Unlike any other Cornas I have tried. Touch of funk dancing gracefully with the big tannins and perfectly round dark fruit... Such a smooth ride. I feel sorry for any other wine trying to win you over on the same night as him... & he will only get better with age👌😉 #Betony restaurant #ThirstyThursday #HappyGirl #Cheers 🍴🍷 — 10 years ago
Cold outside makes me super e trip warm sugary blanket inside blasted by delicious for a full palette roller coaster ride — 10 years ago
Reminds me of a Mountain Bike ride during the fall in Park City. Decaying Forrest floor, dried leaves, lavender, violets. Red and blue fruits, allspice, beautiful (yet) heavy integration of oak, persistent finish. Best wine I've tasted this year (Feb 21, '14) — 11 years ago
We are very impressed with this tonight.
Bright exotic fruits on the nose. Pineapples and passion fruit overwhelm the senses. Palette is consistent, with citrus fruits coming along for the ride. Superb tension on the mid palette between the acid and minerals. This just keeps evolving and becomes more vibrant every time we go back to the well - we are officially converted! — 9 years ago

Button down the hatches folks, we're going for a ride - destination Montilla-hey-o! Distilled peanuts, racy pineapple pith, pear and pencil shavings. The acidity cuts through, well, everything, sashaying forth with pronouncements long on macadamia and happiness. Also: Salt lick that you like. Marcona almonds. Caselvetrano olives. Respect. — 10 years ago

This wine is alive, a roller coaster ride of aromas from poopy, to floral, perfumed, to gamey and umami. — 10 years ago
Gritty Tannin Dusty cherry she's big for her britches but don't that deter ya boy, saddle up and ride! You could even ride her when she is a bit older in 5yrs and the experience she would gather I reckon would be worth it.
Dark plum cassis and black bush berries, fill out the light sagey spiced nosed, great weight. I still think it is the best thing they do. — 10 years ago
Pearls, vintage Chris Craft, night time ride across the lake, low moon flashes behind the trees, underwear in your pocket this time. The green flash of the aurora borealis comes out of nowhere, a slow serpentine sine-wave pulsing across the Milky Way. — 9 years ago
Dark fruit balanced through old oak showing light spice on the nose encouraging thought to nail a specific note but is remaining a bit of an enigma in my rock rattled head after a good day enhanced by 75 MPH Harley induced wind and the brilliance of Bose and an iPhone. Ok, back to the wine, it touches, lightly grabs spreading its dark berry mini-burst in a layered earth touched tannin slow ride making magic with some of Chapel Hill's Bin 54's straight up amazing goodness (in this case very rare filet mignon, garlic tinged green beans and almond slivers; my go to steak spot in NC). Damn, this is all so right-on! Cheers! — 10 years ago
a wild ride this time around. misty then rose petal then perfumey then meaty. must decant and take your time for the evolution. Really enjoyed but probably better in a few years — 10 years ago
Not the best year for Lenoir. 04 was COLD. This still could use a couple years. Still always a fun ride with Lenoir — 11 years ago
