This is Sequoia Groves entry level Napa Cab, but it punches well above its price point. At 5 years old it was a Lucious, fruit forward cab that paired well with a variety of food, especially red meat. Nice nose, It Also enhances the flavor of chocolate. Very approachable wine. Beautifully balanced this layered Merlot shows delightful hints of dark chocolate, pepper with traces of vanilla. A proud Canadian spending 21 months in French oak then aged another 12 months before its release it is a prime example of how far the Okanagan wines have come in and finally earning the right to be on the stage of truly great wines.
