21 club Rootday Still dark incoler with lots of concentration of perfumed aromatics. Violet, fraises de bois, dried leaves, elegant spice and silky texture — 6 years ago
So, there are some sour yeasty feels to this but still such a complex knockout of flavors you’ll think *great journey this* & just keep drinking & smiling. — 6 years ago

Lovely pink champagne — 11 years ago
Tasted blind. Light tawny and translucent. Old wine nose. Notes of soft delicate red fruit, light rhubarb, some mushroom and some sweet cherries. In the mouth it’s missing impact and energy. Acidity is very light. Past it’s prime, although I wonder if this was open too long as the host said it was singing when opened, but then had 6 hrs in the decanter. Guessed mid 60s red burg. — 5 years ago
I thought I was just getting a taste of this earlier in the day, but ended up with an invite to the dinner where it was served.
Over the course of 6 hours the different parts came together into a beautiful herbal vosne with a strong herbal Leroy fingerprint. I like seeing successful results of a good long decant. — 6 years ago
2010 vintage. Very fresh and youthful. Raspberry, red plum, dried cherry, dried cranberry, tea leaves, stale tobacco, autumn leaves, dried violets, tree bark, wet straw. Good complexity, still fresh, lengthy finish. — 6 years ago

Tiny hint of reduction but beyond that it is super floral and with loads of cherry fruit. Iron, very mineral. Elemental stuff. Dusty and very very refined. Hit of licorice. Really alluring nose. Just stunning. These wines give nothing in their youth and then the blossom. Stunningly fresh and vibrant with still some tannic grip but wonderful balance and depth. Saps your palate and tales of over. This is truly on its way to being great. It’s long and saline and has floral echoes on the finish. Profound. But with age, 3-6 more years, this will be lights out. — 5 years ago
