Purchased for a steal and drinking beautifully. Ripe cherry and pomegranate, and high toned florals. Earth and mushrooms, dry leaves, Chinese five-spice and a touch of smoke. Palate is velvety and fruit-driven, with medium+ acidity, medium tannins. Super long (30+ second) acid driven finish absolutely coats the palate. Beautiful wine, enjoyed on day 1 with cacio e pepe, and day 2 with charcuterie. Looking forward to revisiting my 2 more bottles in the coming years. — 7 years ago

Slightly darker and more brooding than the Chambolle, yet not quite as enchanting. Red and black berry fruit, black cherry, leather and dark spice. Lots of rich composty earth and forest floor. Nice juicy acidity up front, tannins are smoothed out and integrated. Medium length finish. Elegant yet not entirely profound on the palate. Enjoyed with homemade steak frites! — 7 years ago

2014 vintage. 9.3 rating on a red Bourgogne...okay? Attractively hot and fleshy initially before the concentrated power onslaught. Medium-heavy body (!?!?) with some slightly above-average terroir/pedigree as I understand it. Might barely qualify (with prejudice) as someone's "Reserve" offering somewhere. Should you come across in a resto or retail setting, take the plunge because you're unlikely to ever see it again. Haven't said that about a Bourgogne in a few days...Rating:9.3/93/A — 10 months ago
