Had this over a couple days with both being similar. The nose was olive branch and musty old trunk followed by a big berry. Earthy taste with notes of tobacco and surprisingly jammy. A little grit at the end but not more than tolerable. A bottle worth taking your time with. — 9 years ago

Very complex nose. Nice finish. — 10 years ago
Tart and fizzy. Very fizzy, in fact. A yeasty taste that reminds me of a natural cider. Unique. — 11 years ago

Our bargain comparison to Gertrude is a Cabernet/Sangiovese blend. Has an almost cider spice to it. Plummy, a little more jammy than the other Tuscan reds. — 12 years ago
Great alternative for people who like cider. I highly recommend it to those who want to try something different - it also comes in a few other flavors, but raspberry (framboise) is my favorite — 10 years ago

Enjoying CO Sunsets with a great glass of local vino while getting dolled up for Emily & Josh's ceremony. Their pear cider is perfect for the river as well...! — 9 years ago
This is a polarizing wine (my wife says it's "Apple cider-ish"), but I love it. Sweet and tart and fizzy, with just enough complexity to make me keep sipping. — 9 years ago
2006. Apple cider vinegar leads to holiday spice body. — 10 years ago
Dark color that is reflected in the nose and on the palate. The aromas of dried lemon and lemon sourdough predominate, but there is also a snippet of lemon verbena and jackfruit, dried apricots, pumpkin, dried mango, dried papaya and a Flemish red beer streak! The lemon and beer notes are evocative of a brew room after cleanup, but a honey note in a spring grove plants you firmly outside. Plenty of sunshine here, and tangerines in a basket with fresh bread. Medium to heavy mouthfeel, and blood orange, grapefruit, lemon drops, grapefruit pith, limestone and a dried grass and chalky lemon pith finish that is exemplary. A writhing, evolving spectacle that boasts the intermittent Apple cider vinegar whisper without offense. Tannins abound, along with lemoncello custard. — 10 years ago
Light and fruity. Medium sweetness. Very nice. 4% — 12 years ago

Baked cherry pie, cranberries, sour cherries, smoke. A bit fruit forward but bright tangy acidity balances the palate. Good with anything tomato & basil. — 9 years ago
