This is a favorite at the house. One of the best champagnes I have had by far. — 12 years ago
1973: Beautiful bottle. Wines like this make everyone stop and take notice. The color was clear and light. Arresting nose full of plums and roasted beets. The depth of flavor and long finish was in contrast with the appearance. Really a fine experience, only second to the few times I had the 1952 Mont Real. — 10 years ago
I can't see myself liking and enjoying a Chardonnay any more than this one. Butter. Recommended by Bryan Smith, wine director at Woodward Table. — 11 years ago

This is finally old enough to have unwound and now it shows its true volume and depth. Drinkable now for scads of beautifully ripe fruit, but nowhere near maturity. — 10 years ago
