At 10 years old, Ravens Wood Old Vine Zinfandel 2009 was delectable, divine and oh so delicious. Full of berry fruit with a perfect amount of spice. Lucky me! — 7 years ago
Very good wine. Smooth, not to dry, definitely can tell it's a Zen! BlackBerry and plum with a smooth finish — 7 years ago
Great porch pounder, so easy with nice body, clean, crispy — 8 years ago
What your wife opens when you're out of town to punish you for being out of town. 10 years down the road, and this has years and years left to age. But not mine. — 9 years ago
After a long night of partying and attending two after hours (The End Up and San Bruno) Matt, Cait, Jessie and I came back to my place and so I opEnd this bottle for us. Jessica woke up and joined us too. What a crazy long night into day. — 9 years ago
Has a really great flavor and is very smooth on the finish — 10 years ago
So smooth. — 8 years ago
Fantastic wine!! Great color and nose with intense berry fruits. In the mouth rich flavors and intense fruit- mostly blackberry fruits. Great finish and goes very well with wild boar spaghetti sauce and pasta. — 8 years ago
Rich and somehow subtle - a little sweet and light at the beginning, tight and bitter in the middle, and all vanilla on the long finish...drinks well now but could definitely handle a little more age. — 9 years ago
HUGE wine! Can only imagine what this Zin tasted like on release. Currently at age sixteen shows dense red cherry and plum; intriguing leather/mushroom/tea like notes on the nose. Still very alive with firm tannins and has to be at least a percent or two of R.S. Great wine! — 5 years ago
Very well balanced full body — 7 years ago
Perfect with a filet mignon. Love ravenswood wine and all the others they have to offer — 7 years ago
I lean toward liking medium bodied high acidity wines with blackberries and dark cherry notes so I really like this wine. Cool marketing with interesting story. Great job Ravenswood team! — 8 years ago
This is one delicious Moscato. Not super sweet. — 10 years ago

From Joel’s library release: This is the 1988 vintage of the Old Vine Sonoma County. Still fresh and alive with all the complexity of thirty two year old wine. Sweet cedar and cherry on the nose; firm acidity and still somewhat tannic; good follow through on the palate with more cherry and cloves. Great wine!! — 4 years ago
