A rare 09 #wine from the area that's going to age for a long time. 5 strong vineyards, ton of dusty tannins and a lot of well integrated oak. Bust it out in 2019. 70 cases Sold out. — 12 years ago

A lot lighter than I thought it would be. Crushed red berries and dried flowers. Perfect with a rare steak. — 11 years ago

Cab Night. Alex's favorite. Paired with Gouda, Bleu Cheese, and rare meats. — 13 years ago
Cassis syrup, loamy earth and white flowers, mandarin orange skin. Rich and structured in the mouth with a bit more elegance and balance than I expected. I went into the glass expecting mammoth proportions and the nose confirmed. In the mouth the wine has confounded me in an intriguing fashion, more earth and grip than expected and quite dry, which is unfortunately rare in high end Cab. Second taste showed a lot more monomeric tannin and serious grip. A decade may be wise for this one to get those tannins polymerized...soften! Lovely wine though, impressive and taught me something. — 11 years ago
Lovely black fruits, cloves and cinnamon on the nose as well as a lot of menthol. Hot alcohol which is a bit much tasting the wine on its own but with a medium rare stake it really works. — 12 years ago

Young age brings out the wonderful juiciness and openness in this one. Tight, bity, firm and very honest — it screams pomegranate and cranberry. Very bright and clear, a rare case of young Burgundy (even Mercurey) that I like a lot. Great every day bottle that won't keep you bored. — 11 years ago
