Light bodied, really nice bouquet and the tannins grip. I wonder if this wouldn't have benefitted from a few years aging. To me, the only thing missing is that silky feel in your mouth. — 10 years ago
Du bonbon. Très beau fruit. Gouleyant. Cette bouteille à été ouverte en second juste pour prendre un dernier verre en cette superbe journée. Y'en reste plus. Hic!!! — 10 years ago

Pop and pour, notes from 2 hrs open. On the nose: lovely plum.and blackberry, oak spice, soft cocoa powder, soft herbs in the background; very clearly delineated flavors. On the palate: fantastic acidity and density; spicy strawberry, and dark fruit...excellent tannin on the spicy finish. This is definitely structured to improve with some age, but it is already so drinkable now. Yum! — 4 years ago
Had with lunch in Chambole-Mussigny as part of our adventure to Burgundy. Quite dry, took some time to open up. Maybe a couple of more years on the shelf would help. But classic mid weight Pinot Noir. — 7 years ago
Good tannin, fruit and spice. Almost N Rhone like. Delicious. — 8 years ago
Interesting wine. Has a very smokey quality. Bacon grease on a hot cast iron skillet. I know that sounds crazy, but I swear it's all here in the glass. Not what you typically associate with Burgundy. Smokey red fruits. Lots to think about here. — 8 years ago
Not so complex, but so pretty. Good boy, Flipper! — 9 years ago

Night one at Bern’s. Chosen in the cellar for its color and condition. Nice gold color in the glass. Killer nose from the start. Notes of lemons, cardamom, sautéed oranges, ginger, tan spice, honey, apricot and some vanilla. Nice fruit in the mouth. Quiet acidity at first but with air some nice structure grows. Evolved/improved all night and really delivered. — 2 years ago
