Made with whole cluster Pinot noir, palate shows red fruit flavors, yeasty notes, tangy acidity with rich texture. Zesty finish, champagne like, refreshing ending with citrus notes. This is rich, full throttle Riesling that has ripe apple, pear and orange peel fruit with just a touch of mineral and petrol. Lush and dense on the palate with superb intensity. Pear and orange peel flavors with a glycerol edge. Big ripe and fruited on the finish. From young (25 yr old) Rangen fruit. — 6 years ago

Shows some smokiness on the nose. On the palate it has spicy notes up front, a little lemon, followed by strong apricot, and some golden apple. A hint of French vanilla the flint/smoke on the finish. Well-balanced, though it had a hint of bitter artificial grape on the finish that went away after some decanting meaning it probably needed some more time in the bottle. Overall, probably not the best Rangen producer, but it's definitely still a Rangen :) — 8 years ago
