Wow totally surprised by this wine. As a random purchase at $40, this definitely out kicked the coverage. The aromas are so inviting....perfumed floral, mint, and earth.
BlackBerry, black cherry, pomegranate, and crushed rocks on the palate.
Decanted for 60 minutes.
This is still very young and has a decade or so to go. If this was a St. Emillion it would be easily twice the price point. — 7 years ago

A random purchase. Pnp. After a short time in the glass, it opened up surprisingly very well. Good value for $28.

Sometimes you accidentally open a delicious bottle of wine on a random Tuesday. So glad we did. Balanced. A great Pinot Noir! — 8 years ago
Wonderful random find. Easy drinking, red fruits, earthy, and round. Price is fantastic, roughly $16-20. Would keep a case for any chill out evening or nice meal at home. — 6 years ago
Wow, old school perfection! California wine from a forgotten age. Pure Italian-American greatness. Reminds me of the wine my childhood landlord would make from the vines that grew behind our house just upstate from NYC. Dark fruits abundant, soft acidity and tanins, nice touch of oak, without obscuring the graps as so many California wineries are obsessed with doing for some reason these days. Found this at a random liquor store on a road trip, will seek it out now. Even better than the Cribari Chianti or Coppola Rosso, which were my previous favorite in this genre, the wonderfully underappreciated "backyard" wine... — 6 years ago
Going through random cases & found this guy. Held up well surprisingly. Not over the top, still had some fruit, almost sweet.. — 7 years ago

Incredible, raucous random pick. — 8 years ago
Next day review. Gentle floral nose, nice acidity and good balance. Long finish, quite dry and acidic. Blend of Pommard and Dijon clones. Only 250 cases made, great finding for under 20$. — 8 years ago
Vivid, vibrant, dirty. Drink with 'caution'. — 9 years ago
I won this random brunello in a charity auction as part of a lot with some Bdx and Burg that I actually wanted. Popped it tonight with spaghetti bolognese and it was actually pretty damn enjoyable. Big wine for sure, but smooth and not too hot despite 14.5% alcohol. Ripe raspberry and black cherry, dried fig, cedar, potpourri, some sweet wood that’s well integrated. Polished and fruit-forward, not exactly what the cool kids are drinking but I had a decent time. — 7 years ago
Left bank vs right bank WTF Group night. People paired up and poured wines in pairs with same vintage and opposite bank. Everything enjoyed blind.
@Delectable Wine : This is a Saint Emilion Bordeaux. I didn’t see it in the database.
This was a random pick by me at the local wine shop. JSuckling 95 and RParker 94. Unique right bank. After about 2hrs in the decanter, it had a bit of funk to it that many left banks have at pop and pour. Cali reminiscent. Dark fruit profile with dark chocolate. Dirty chocolate covered cherries, fleshy berries on the palate and fantastic aromatics.

Imagine your licking a rough wet stone wall with rivulets flowing down at random. This vintage would pair with that vision. Rough. Wet. Random. Be ready for a happy roughed up tongue.. — 6 years ago
