Smooth and pleasant red fruit. Great $15 value. — 6 months ago
Had the privilege of being the first non Quinta Do Vale Meao persons to have a try of this wine. Probably one of the best Portuguese dry reds still with lots of ageing potential. Appreciated that they combine tradition and technology. Complex and elegant despite its youth. — 7 months ago

Last bottle of this vintage. Black fruit nose with blueberry mocha but a hint of cherry. Delicious dark fruit cassis cocoa hint of tobacco with subtle vanilla and soft tannins. Great length. Really like. Bummed last 2014. Could have aged at least another 3 years but delicious now. — 6 months ago

Solid wine - believe it was a Costco special: fragrant nose of red & black fruit, very ripe, verging on liqueur like, distinct minerality and earth tones. Med bodied, finely grained tannins, integrated acidity carrying flavors thru lingering finish. Excellent QPR — 6 months ago

1962 vintage. Decanted and tasted immediately and over the course of two hours. As with all of these older vintage port corks, a Durand is a helpful "suggestion" but a funnel with a fine filtering screen is essential. Wowzers. Plenty grippy on the back end and drinking as if awakened from a nap-guilty as charged. Needs another 15 years to “let it go.” Remarkable complexity. Holy bleep. Thanksgiving 11.23.23. — 6 months ago
