Wine spectator says #69 of top 100 of 2014.
A burly, brambly red, underscored by tarry smoke and underbrush notes, offering flavors of blackberry coulis, herb-marinated black olive, grilled mushroom and ground spice. Reminiscent to me of Priorat crossed with Montalcino, this wine has tea, licorice, rhubarb and berry aromas with tons of candied cherry flavor on the palate and a nice leathery tannic grip. — 7 years ago

Any wine that can shine from a plastic cup deserves extra kudos. Mistook for a Northern nebbiolo with its structure, detail, & balance, but the fruit is pure southern, pomegranate & black currants.
