Delicious supertuscan. Not too fruity, but rich nose. You can feel sweet liquer cherries, with leather, some volatile tobacco note. On the palate: spicy and chocolate. Needs about an hour of waiting after cooling and decantation. — 7 years ago
Really a well put together Sangiovese. I was very happy my parents brought this back with them and I always love to try something new. Really cool the sour cherry but nice grip of tannins and a softer round finish. I enjoyed it a lot with Lamb. — 8 years ago
Chocolate, spicy, young. Got some rough edges but good value and unusual — 8 years ago
Full-bodied. Dark fruits. Earthy. Bold. It's the heavy hitter favorite of the evening! — 8 years ago

Botte 47. Phenomenally complex and constantly evolving. Initially savory with some animal fur, toasty honey (aged semillon) notes, slight star fruit. Then it evolved into dried flowers, mushroom, and dark fruit - reminded me of a young Barolo. Then black tea, green tea. Then strong dried spearmint, honeyed toasty complexity like the '81 Lopez de Heredia. Medium bodied with slightly elevated sparkling acidity. Not intense, but persistent on the palate. To borrow a phrase from Veronelli- It burrowed into my memory. I hope it made me forever better. — 10 years ago

Great bottling of the top Frascati white grape. Good acid and weight balance. Exotic powdered florals and ash-stone minerality followed by orange oil, marmalade, and an attractive lingering pistachio finish that wraps up with the flowers again. — 10 years ago

Never heard of this wine before but it’s very nice Always love the nose on a Barolo. — 8 years ago
Infanticide can be delicious. The early onset of winter in Seattle called for a big wine for pappardelle alla bolognese. Decanted 2+ hours and served at cellar temp. Initially a bit of a mess--wood, tannins, heat--started to come together after the first glass. Classic nebbiolo notes of dusty cherries, foliage, pepper. Big and beautiful, not quite in prime form. And yet, je ne regrette rien... 🍷💯👌🏼🍝 — 8 years ago

Nose is a bit ripe and tomatoey. Weird. Mint? Some dead leaves. New wood. Bleh. — 6 years ago
