Double-decanted 3 hours prior to drinking. Dark purple-red color; still very primary aromas and flavors; a juicy and fruity wine. Long life ahead. For my taste, I'd wait another 5 years for the wine to acquire some secondary characteristics. Did pair well with rich pot roast dinner. — 10 years ago

La Digoine Côte Chalonnaise Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2012

Wonderfully enjoyable wine. Seemed very well advanced for such a young pup. Round and balanced with all the right primary fruit aromas layered with developed earth and coffee notes. — 11 years ago

Château Saint-Pierre

St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2003

Flashed chocolate, and some primary fruits before subsiding into a meaty mushroom earthy cloud of deliciousness with that lovely combo of integrated oak and dark prune minerality. Great time to drink this. — 10 years ago

Ripe red fruit. Healthy showing of spice and tobacco. Silky mouthfeel, lifted weight. Clean acid. Drinking well, however still primary with glimpses of depth and age. Excited to watch this go for the long haul. — 11 years ago

Some good primary fruit and reasonable acidity giving good length. Some developing complexity. Intriguing wine that went well with our gyros! — 10 years ago

So good w/ a great future ahead. Still primary fruit for the first couple of hours and then it all comes into place after that. Will be fantastic when fully mature. — 12 years ago
