Delicious red from the son of Peter Lehman. — 10 years ago

Another standout from Maxine. This wine was compelling from a region in France that does not receive a ton of press. Again carignon is the star and over delivers ripe raspberry flavors. Very enjoyable. — 11 years ago
Great. Ended up liking the 2010 and 2011 petite Syrah just a little better on this trip. 2011 petite Syrah was my favorite today. All delicious. — 11 years ago
Nett, aber nix extraordinäres. Sehr rund und tief. Kann man bestimmt zwei bis drei Flaschen hintereinandertrinken.

Magnum 2008 Screaming Eagle Cab. Wine #4 for K's birthday dinner at Press. Really interesting to drink this after having the Harlan vertical at lunch and side-by-side with the Heitz and Martini. This 2008 much more ready to drink than Harlan. We decanted for an hour before drinking, but it was still really muscular and chewy. Was really delicious to drink while having our steak. Awesome treat. — 12 years ago
Lemon and ripe pear aroma. Taste of yellow apple. Very refreshing. — 12 years ago
Fabulous red blend. Full bodied, a lot of plum and cherry with earthy notes. Delicious! — 13 years ago
Cheap and tasty — 13 years ago
Another above-the-fold headline scoop from "Superman's Pal"! This is a dense, jammy blend with slimy smooth body. The rich dark cherry, red raspberry, and black currant flavors balance nicely. It works well as an after-dinner digestive wine. — 9 years ago
What can I say? I love a granache. — 10 years ago
Delightfully mature Napa Cab with notes of pencil shavings, tobacco and allspice that play off the still bright cassis and plum fruit aromas. Silky but noticeable tannins frame more spice and earth toned cassis and red cherry fruit. The finish displays a surprisingly elegant yet powerful finish. — 10 years ago
This was drinking really well - beautiful wine - at Press, St. Helena — 11 years ago
From White Rock Vineyards in Napa. Only 70 cases made of this 2010 vintage. Fantastic wine. — 11 years ago

Wonderful and sweet without being sugary. Bought a few bottles of this and had friends over when the 2 bottles ran out I thought they were going to protest ! Ran back to Grocery Outlet and bought 4 more bottles :-) crowd pleaser — 10 years ago
A delicious Syrah. Matured from the wine I drank at the winery. Opened nicely and drank smoothly. — 10 years ago
Pale yellow color with plentiful active tiny bubbles and marzipan, almond, pear, subtle citrus and a hint of smoke aromas. On the palate, it's refined, lively and fresh with a delicate creamy mousse, and apricot, apples, pear and lemon curd flavors dominate but hints of grapefruit, black currant and an appealing smoky minerality play in the background. Long finish. Cuvee 2011 Disgorged 2014. 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier 5% of wines matured in oak cask with weekly battonage - 10% of reserve wines matured in casks. Partial ML. Assemblage of 6 vintages from 40 different plots. Matured 3 years in cellar and 6 mo after disgorgement. Dosage between 10 adn 11 g/L. My favorite under $40 Champagne! — 11 years ago
Didn't realize it was from The Press (wine bar) in SF. Had no idea they made wine! $14.64 — 11 years ago
Mushroom, forest floor on opening. 20 min after opening more red fruit, a bit of vanilla oak coming into play. TASTY — 12 years ago

I snuck aboard the space station and made my way to the holding cell where I was told the princess was being held. Upon breaking down the door, I was confronted by a short person in a diaper and odd headdress who said "I'm sorry, but the princess is in another death star".
About that time all the alarms in the space station started going off.
After some brief firefights I found myself cornered, my only escape to done down a shoot into a garbage compactor. So I did. Once in the trash compactor I met a friendly monster called a Dianoga. We shared a lovely bottle of Slow Press while the walls of the compactor slowly closed in on us.
Fortunately for me, I'm the hero of this tale and, as such, made a timely escape, rescued the princess (eventually), and managed to do it all without realizing I had spilled wine on myself. — 9 years ago
