Bright lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and flinty floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and lemon citrus with notes of vanilla, white flowers and garden spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity ending with vanilla and flinty mineral spice. Nice! — 9 months ago
Bright yellow. Clear. A bit closed on the nose, ripe apples, peach, honey, oak. Dried fruits, orange on palette. Acid. Tangy or spicy. Silky, medium finish. Tasted in May 2021 at BigMacs&Burgundy book event by Alliance Francaise. — 3 years ago
Nothing better than a well aged Chardonnay and fatty, cold water fish. This bottle is our go to pairing for grilled steelhead trout.
Nose is evolving since my prior post, oxidized green apple peel and cold caramel.
Palate is lightly sweet lemon curd/custard, baked red apple, cooked lemon, warm granite dust and a zing of acidity on the close.
Our feline house managers pestered for comfortable portions on the trout, they are good boys and girls, generally, so we endulge.
Great night listening to Hugh Masekela and Mongo Santamaria on the HiFi, everything complimented!
One bottle left, then we move along to the next vintage. — 5 years ago
Especially by comparison to the flawed Berlancourt Champans we had alongside, this bottle seemed well-structured. Loads of lemon, pastry cream, lime and doesn't betray its heat on the nose. On the palate: lovely acidity, good minerality and now showing some salinity. A touch short on the finish, but solid otherwise. — 9 months ago

So good and worked so well with Korean barbecue consisting of black cod, portobello, and poor quality steak with a lot of fat, tendon, and salt. — 5 months ago
