Lots of red fruit — raspberry, dark cherry — plus blackberry underneath. Vanilla and cola notes, along with some forest floor earthiness. Easy to drink 7 years in. More fruit forward than other vintages I’ve had. Quite good. — 3 years ago

Natural pigeon with bubbles quite nice — 6 years ago
Retasting five months later. Melon and citrus notes in nose initially. Similar flavors plus orchard fruit and apricot in mouth, lemony finish. Creamy, nuanced, lovely flavor profile, balanced acidity. A tad more skin astringency intensity than I’d like at first, but much to admire here as the wine integrates over time. Also, this is a much better wine than communicated by its labeling, IMHO. — 7 years ago
Lemon in colour. Notes of Orange peel and Quince on nose and palate. Medium to full bodied. Refreshing uncomplicated drinking. The base wine, Grillo, used in Sicily for the fortified Marsala - a style that has fallen out of favour in recent times. Tasted again 30 weeks later on 10th May 2019 with consistent notes as above. Tasted again on 9th October 2019 with consistent notes. Also notes of old apples and quince as previous. A delicious Mediterranean white and excellent QPR. — 8 years ago

100% Sangiovese. Medium ruby color. Aromas of red cherry, red geraniums, tomato leaf and leather. Black cherry fruit leads the palate with additional notes of tobacco, minerals and savory spices. Long and earthy finish. Firm structure and tannins but extremely well balanced. Acidity is bright and well incorporated. Vibrant and elegant. A very pleasant surprise. Outstanding QPR! — a year ago
