A great #Merlot from #NewZealands oldest Winery.
This merlot is fragrant with flowers and light berry aromas. Delicate and soft on the palate with some spicy, plummy fruit. Soft tannins and gentle edges really accentuate the elegance of this wine.
A great change of pace . — 9 years ago
Good change of pace to get an old world white. Fume oak was noticeable but pleasant — 10 years ago
Nice change of pace from across the pond. Good floral and earthy aspects. Mid-long finish. — 10 years ago
Viscosity. Really interesting white. 100% albillo from the Madrid region. I got some peach or apricot. Perhaps baked pineapple. A great change of pace. — 11 years ago
Gonna need a lot more of these to reach conference pace — 9 years ago
Nice change of pace from champagne or prosecco. — 9 years ago
Heres a monster. PS ages at a glacial pace and this wine has a long life with jammy fruit and wonderful balance with cocoa notes smoke and flavors that went on for weeks. Drink over the next two decades. — 10 years ago
A clear green-tinged straw, the '13 Alphonse Mellot Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 'La Moussière' shows a minerally-infused nose of citrus zest, white flowers and honeydew melon. Exhibiting a richer, more buttery palate than most Sancerres, a bracing acidic core keeps the white stone fruit flavors fresh and lively. A nice change of pace from NZ Sauvignon Blancs. — 10 years ago
2013 Vintage - 👍 (Pace in Laurel Canyon) — 10 years ago
Nose full of oak but a pleasant change of pace. Not going to beat the price. — 10 years ago
A nice ruby red in color. Cedar and toasty oak with dark cherries come forth on the nose. Cherries, sweet spice, plums, hints of licorice with floral notes on the palate. A more weightier Pinot with smooth tannins and a good balanced finish. I am more of a Burgundian Pinot kind of guy but this is a nice change of pace. — 11 years ago
Pine and malt. This is the only decent beer sold at Costco, and it's really not bad. Comparable to (and a nice change of pace from) Sierra Nevada—a solid daily drinker. One of my students is horribly allergic to this stuff, even though he otherwise drinks like a fish. — 9 years ago
Oh Penis Dolphin, magnificent turn of pace down the highway — 9 years ago
A wonderful change of pace and every bit as interesting. A wonderful aroma of peach and tropical flowers leads the way to a delicate yet rich texture. Underripe melon, pear and peach show up front with subtle peppercorn and cooling menthe on the rear and all wrapped in a creamy mouthfeel. Stunning length. — 10 years ago
2011. Beautifully balanced, complex, and subtle wine. Very nice acidity; floral and bright red fruit and a bit of anise or fennel. Highly recommend this wine -- superlative value. — 10 years ago
Sparkling Sauv blanc, a nice change of pace. Grapefruit at first sniff, followed by green bell pepper and dewy grass. — 10 years ago
Quite good. I was actually surprised when it was done because I enjoyed so much I hadn't noticed the accelerated pace I was drinking through it. $22 at Martin bros. — 12 years ago

A sweet, big party of a rosé. Large, round, wide nose: Red berries, watermelon, extra-fine sugar reach 6 inches out of the glass and balloon. Adding Syrah and cab Sauv give the Grenache and Cinsault a bluer core and a smooth ripeness, slowing this rosé down to an approachable mouth glide (which does speed up the pace of drinking; whoops!) — 9 years ago
