Beautiful Cab Franc inside and out. Dark red with garnet edges. Leafy green, tobacco nose. Medium bodied with black cherry flavours and a great length. Paired very well with a steak. Pillitteri Exclamation 2010 Cabernet Franc. VQA. $38. — 10 years ago
Red apple, cognac, peach, lemon and some minerality as well. Not as much acid as the Sauvignon blanc to cut that sweetness but still quite tasty. — 10 years ago
Spending time with a great friend and sharing a pretty amazing Canadian wine! — 12 years ago
Well I'm not surprised to say that there was a bit of challenges with the cork from this 1997 Süssreserve Vidal from Pillitteri. Fortunately the cork maintained it's overall structure enough to protect the wine! :) Notes: the colour is a honey yellow showing signs of significant aging. The nose is instantly intriguing with melons very present. The sugars in this Vidal has allowed for a graceful cellaring over the past 17 years. The flavours include honeydew melon, with some balancing acidity. — 10 years ago
Medium garnet, some bricking, bright. Excellent tertiary character and integrated oak: smoke, sweet wood, dark red fruit, blackberry, toasted coconut, vanilla, milk chocolate, mint, light alcohol. Soft acid with balanced residual sugar,medium-full bodied, red- black berry fruits. Good length with gentile heat. — 12 years ago

Comparable to a California Cab blend. Fantastic achievement, given what resources are available to work with in Niagara. — 10 years ago
