Bright and beautiful deep red.
First aroma: black olive, olive oil, meat, barrel, red flowers like lily.
Second Scent: tallow, butter, chocolate, walnuts, cashew nuts, pistachio, rye bread.
Mid note: dried fruits, dried plums, several berries.
Light sweet and juicy acid attack, mid palate come with good body, comfortable bitterness and tannin, long finish. — 9 years ago

Solid Barolo. Still very young, with some burly tannins, but plenty of cherry to balance it out. Dried rose, leather, earth. Yum. — 10 years ago
Really nice gavi. Recommend — 11 years ago

Don't really get the Burgundy/Pinot Noir comparisons people are making with Nerello. For me it's a lot for Nebbiolo-like, albeit more approachable. Sour cherries, rose petal, dried herb. A bit on the simple side, but an interesting wine. — 8 years ago
Deep delicious red — 9 years ago
100% Nebbiolo grape and beautifully balanced. Medium body with full of flavours of Tuscany. For the price of Nebbiolo this is excellent unsung wine. — 9 years ago
Round and plump. Shows nice fruit leading to a focused finish. Good effort for the vintage. — 10 years ago
So drinkable right now. My colleague made a good point saying that it smells like scotch on the nose...nothing wrong with that. Will get better with age. Drinking great now, tannins are perfect. 2010! best vintage ever for Barolo...get some — 10 years ago
Medium body, smooth taste — 12 years ago
Nice, easy drinking Barbera. Delicious fruity nose. Smooth tannins and great acidity — 7 years ago
Infanticide can be delicious. The early onset of winter in Seattle called for a big wine for pappardelle alla bolognese. Decanted 2+ hours and served at cellar temp. Initially a bit of a mess--wood, tannins, heat--started to come together after the first glass. Classic nebbiolo notes of dusty cherries, foliage, pepper. Big and beautiful, not quite in prime form. And yet, je ne regrette rien... 🍷💯👌🏼🍝 — 7 years ago
Strong tannins, good acids for a Dolcetto, medium bodied, sour cherries, blackberries, mineral. From Seventh Avenue Liquors. — 8 years ago
