Sheer delight. The nose is hibiscus and ruby red grapefruit. The mouth is a complex and grippy adventure with grapefruit, red papaya, lychee. This is not a NZ Sauvignon by any means, despite those notes, it's a serious thinking wine to sip for days with or without food. — 9 years ago

This 2008 was cellared for almost five years after purchased in 2012. Consumed Nov 2015, the best way to describe this delight is that "it melts in your mouth". Second red in flight two for the Bordeaux Master's Class at Heart's Delight with all wines from Pessac-Léognan.

Deep and dark ruby red. Layered nose with tobacco, red cherries and some floral characteristics. Well integrated medium tannins (6.5/10) for being so young and medium plus body. Dark palate with spices, black currants, dark cocoa, bark and leather. Long and dry finish. Drink till 2032. — 9 years ago
