Gift from Brenna, who bought it in India! — 6 years ago
Still drinking nice, glad we kept the second bottle for longer. Lots of fruit left on it still. Lovely. — 6 years ago
A delicious Syrah with intense fruit and funk and a bit of spice. Needed a bit of time to open up, but when it did it was unbelievably good. — 8 years ago
So, this wine is actually called, En Paassant. It's a 100% Merlot from four different vineyards. It spent 30 months in 60% new French oak and 40% neutral French oak. En Passant has such great florals and lean, ripe; strawberries, cherries, blackberries, black raspberries, with beautiful violets and floral bouquet. The body is M and the tannins are dusty M+. Bright cherries, strawberries, raspberries, plum, chalky loamy soil, saline, crushed rock powder, violets, rose petals, soft leather, tobacco leaf, raining acidity and a beautifully, elegant, floral, soft spice finish. — 8 years ago
Intoxicatingly beautiful nose and very balanced mid palate. Short finish but great for an easy drinking wine — 9 years ago
Solid deep garnet red core. Beautifully complex nose, starting with dark fruits such as cassis. Slightly savory undertones too. Palate is full of fruit not overpowering and is very smooth. Moderate tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Long, lingering, and smooth finish. Can't believe this was a PNP. Drink till 2026. — 9 years ago
Open for about 5 hours, no decant... Masculine nose, yet pretty at the same time. Tobacco, plum, cassis, leather, dark chocolate, and espresso. Beautiful balance, with perfectly ripe, farmers market plum and blackberry. Layers of mocha and tobacco carry throughout. Tannins are integrated and show restraint. There is a creamy, milky chocolate midpalate which transitions to a rich, yet still ripe, dark fruit finish. Green pepper creeps through on the backend. Deep core of fruit, but don’t be misled this could easily pass for right bank, think Saint Estephe. Paired perfectly with cold smoked New York strip steak.. wish I had more of this one, drink or hold. 43% Cab Sav, 37% Merlot, 20% Cab Franc — 5 years ago
This stunning Grenache was sourced from Monette's Vineyard in the Walla Walla Rocks region. Prior to bottling the wine was left on the lees for 18 months in neutral French oak barriques. This wine begins with aromatics of rose petals, white flowers, Mandarin orange rind and potpourri. This leads to flavors of red cherry, strawberry, orange zest and strawberry jam. This is pretty, downright sexy wine and absolutely irresistible at this juncture. While less acid-driven than the ’14 bottling, this outstanding wine is just as good and even more impossible to put down as the gorgeous aromatic and flavor range shines through. Only 103 cases made of this absolutely stunning Grenache, which is one of the best of its kind in Washington state. Drink 2019-2029- 95 — 6 years ago
Incredibly purity of fruit with balance — 8 years ago
The Composer is a 100% Riesling and spent 18 month on fine lees in neutral oak barrels. On the nose; tropicals, cream, citrus, gentle spice and white & yellow lilies. On the palate, lemon meringue, apple, pear, tropicals, citrus blend, guava, honeycomb, peach, leehies, very light petrol, white & yellow lilies & nicely rounded acid with a rich, polished finish. Photos of; their private tasting room, tasting bar and view of their estate vines from the winery. All Raza wines are made in very small production...175 cases or less. — 8 years ago
The QED is a blend of six different vineyards and is 69% Syrah, 15% Grenache, 12% Mourvedre and 4% Viognier. Beautiful perfumed florals on the nose of violets and purple florals, baking spices, blueberries, blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, plum and dark soils. The body is medium as are the velvety tannins. On the palate; ripe, lean, blueberries, blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries and plum. Then, beautiful spices rise off the palate gently. Red roses, violets, dark moist earth, crushed dry rocks with very good acidity and a beautiful finish. — 8 years ago
An excellent Bordeaux blend. Velvet smooth with great structure. Wow! — 9 years ago
$24 Nice balance between tannins and fruit, a little zing from alcohol at 14.5% so it’s a feel good wine — 6 years ago
A luscious combination of beautiful dark fruit combined wirh a bit of funk and tobacco. A smooth mineral mouthfeel with a bit if spice on the finish. Very nice. Wish I’d bought more of this 100% Mouvedre. — 7 years ago
Comparing with the price, it is definitely my best daily wine.
Although it is the Tesco selection(the PB of it), it is not bad. — 8 years ago
This wine is their tribute to Rioja. So, they called this one "Tilting at Windmills"; which is a reference to Don Quixote. Tilting at Windmills is a blend of; 69% Grenache, 19% Syrah & 18% Cabernet. 40% new oak and 60% neutral. This wine was not racked and stayed on its lees until bottled. On the nose, minty, florals and soft fruits of; blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, touch of rich dark, earth and dark fresh florals. The palate matches everything in the nose but add strawberries. The body is M & the tannins are M+. Mint really shines on the long finish. The acidity is soft, gentle and mouthwatering. The finish is; long, leaner in body & beautifully elegant. — 8 years ago
