Deep, dark, ripe Cab Franc fruit. A little smokiness and minerality. Oak still evident, but not obtrusive. Probably needs a couple more years to really hit its stride, although the apparent low acid makes me wonder how it will evolve.

Light ruby color with some purple and brown mixed tone. Just a tiny hazy and essentially clear. Nose of sour cherries, berries like raspberries, and a bit cedar. Taste of refreshing acidic raspberry, sour cherries , spice like sage/clove, cola, and some roasted peppers note. Light but balanced. Aftertaste is a bit weak, dominated by the spice note, roasted pepper, a bit cola, and hickory note. Quite an interesting Bordeaux. — 9 years ago
