Warm nose with chocolate notes, clove, nutmeg, and coffee. Hazelnut brownie; earthy mushroom. Tart raspberry surprise inside, with licorice, cedar, bitter arabica and sharp tobacco notes, rosemary, tart bing and rich, ripe black cherry. Oak adding cinnamon and a ghost of vanilla. Peppercorn.

Wow, not bad at all, and this was the 2016 vintage. The 2015 was $4 dollars more....need to try that next! — 7 years ago
Raisiny and grape-y nose offers tart and powdered candy notes, white mushroom, schist, light pepper and tea. Dry open of grape-y tartness, bing cherry and lavender petal. Mouth-coating with cranberry-blackberry and black currant, bitters and dates. Great priced ripasso.

34% Sangiovese, 33% Merlot 33% Syrah. Very nice drinking. — 5 years ago
A good wine but not excellent. The texture is just too soft. Needs a stronger acid backbone. Otherwise, the fruit flavors are nicely accented with cut flowers on the nose, and slightly spiced on the palate. — 6 years ago
Wow. Hey value Ripasso. Found you. Great ripe fruits and light spicy finish. Definitely adding to semi-regular rotation and bringing to friends. — 6 years ago
Floral pipe tobacco on the nose. Cranberry upfront with molasses and vanilla notes. Finishes with some herbal/spices notes. Very nice! — 7 years ago

Ruby coloration with some transparency. On the nose, cherry, balsamic, vanilla, leather, crushed rock and earth. On the palate, medium to full body, cherry, currants, anise, espresso bean, leather, balsamic, vanilla and chocolate; a nicely layered palate with a medium to long finish. Tannins are still quite present but balanced. — 3 years ago
