This is a varietal more Tx wineries should be producing. Could use a bit more acid but the fruit is damn tasty! — 9 years ago

Fresh and crisp on the intake, round as it hits the back of the throat and a long graceful finish. One of our favorite ethical wineries, Solms Delta, this earthy wine is bright cherry rose. — 11 years ago
I've been loving Ojai for so long. This producer has to be in my top 10 favorite Cali wineries, no question. — 9 years ago
Hawkes has been growing for wineries like Silver Oak for years. Stone is their fantastic Chalk Hill Single Vineyard that has wonderful black cherry mingled with flint, firm acidity, and lingering subtle tannins. — 9 years ago

2006 Cabernet from one of my favorite wineries. Not overly tannic, nice black cherry, chocolate flavors with black pepper at the finish. — 9 years ago
@ARafanelliWine is consistently one of best wineries from #DryCreekValley #Merlot — 9 years ago
Another spectacular Cabernet from my favorite wineries in Napa. Had the 2012 vintage with some young Gouda an it really sets it off. Stil, it's a bit young in my mind and would be fantastic in a few years. Definitely standouts in my mind as one of the best cabs I've had in a while. Wonderful fullness with soft and integrated tannins. And layers of black cherry, blueberries and coca dance around your tongue as it is sipped. Gonna have it with some awesome authentic german goulash. A perfect finish to a nice day in the South Bay. — 9 years ago

I underrated Langhorne Creek wines for decades, but not any more. This is a superb red. And there are many other winners coming out of neighbouring wineries. — 8 years ago
