75%merlot with cab sav, zin and Shiraz. Dark peppery fruit in the middle. Not your typical wimpy merlot. Soft finish with medium tannins. An Indiana find! — 6 years ago
I really like this. Different. Just wish it had a higher alcohol content. 3 glasses did nothing. — 6 years ago
It's with great joy and sadness I open up this last bottle from the case. It seems almost wrong to be finishing up a case of 2013 already, but it's just so good!
The good news is the that reviews from Jason Oliver have convinced me to sign on to the Hunnicutt club. First case gets here in November! 🍷 cheers Mr Oliver. — 7 years ago
A delectable sweet wine with a slight sour bite at the end. Has a good flavor and would be great at parties, or at a simple night at home. — 7 years ago
Forever a favorite. Somehow they captured the essence of fresh fruit. You can almost feel the sunshine on your back as you sip, as if you're plucking blackberries off the cane yourself. — 7 years ago
Light on taste , body. Smooth — 7 years ago

Good chilled sweet wine. Pretty simple in flavor. — 6 years ago
I’ve started seeing quite a bit of this winery on Delectable as of late, and @Jason Oliver does a great job of being an ambassador for them. He informed me of a killer deal they had going, so I snagged a 3-pack.
Robbie Meyer (of Del Dotto, Pierson Meyer) became the full time winemaker in 2015. The Spur is their red blend and really is an awesome value for Livermore Valley. Bordeaux varietals + petite sirah. Super dark in the glass. Nose is full of herbs, crushed blackberries, graphite. I thought it would be super heavy on the palate due to the color, but it was soft. Easy to pick up the petite sirah in this with the spice and pepper on the finish. Tart and spicy fruit too like rhubarb. Smokiness and cedar wood. Looking forward to the merlot and Malbec I have. — 6 years ago
Big chocolate blackberry and licorice nose. Sweet tannins good grip and solid structure. Oak and cedar buoys juicy fruit with long finish. Almost Australian in style and structure very fruit forward. Fun. — 7 years ago
Tastes like Zebra Stripe gum — 7 years ago
Black fruit flavor. Dry but good stand alone wine — 5 years ago
Nose has lightly oxidized yellow apple peel, wet seashells, freshly cut pear, light creamy oak, fresh lemon pith and light honey.
Palate has light salinity, lemon skin, honey on oak slab and under-ripe peach.
Beautiful wine, great (medium) acidity, yet still young. Likely this will benefit with another 4-6 years of rest. Oliver Lamy is one of the best Saint-Aubin producers, and this bottle is proof, chaotic vintage and still shining.
Decanted ~3hr. Easter 2019. — 5 years ago

Smooth and dry, with a nice peachy/apricot flavor. The label looks different now. Got this on sale at Lucky's market for $12. Lucky try! — 5 years ago
