I love this wine. Easy and inexpensive way to get a small taste of old world Chardonnay. — 9 years ago
Nice old world red. With good juice and earth — 10 years ago
Revised downward: turned apple on the palate having been opened for a while. Exceptional Chardonnay. Smells like an old world Burgundy on the nose and follows through on the palate. Presents strong lemon flavors without even a hint of butter. A little more acidic and tart than I would like, but these characteristics will likely soften with age. — 10 years ago
Excellent rye — 11 years ago
Such an amazing producer. Tasted blind, the generous chalkiness led me to white burgundy. Man was I wrong. Clean and direct fruit, neutral oak. New world done in an old world style. — 11 years ago
If you want new world power and old world balance, this hits the mark. Dark cassis, black olive, dried herbs and flowers, great acidity and length. — 11 years ago
This is a big wine with a major manure factor on the nose! Palate is very old world and vegetal with herbs and wood shavings... still with bold tannins.. good legs. Classic, pure interpretation of Brunello! — 9 years ago

Perfect full feel and good acidity. It's as expected, delicious old world balance. Fruit and spice on the nice finish.... — 9 years ago
When opened we thought it was corked. Had a pungent aroma and highly acidic. After about an hour decanting, the notes changed considerably. Soft fruit and current. Mild tannin notes. Subtle earthy mouth feel and a sweetness at the back of the palette. After additional time. A fine old world burgundy. Enjoyable alone or with food. — 9 years ago
Very old world in taste. Opens up after about 30-45 minutes in the glass. Earthy and only slightly tannic on the end — 10 years ago
Balanced old world Rioja style. Fully integrated and redolent of cigar box, spice and dark fruit. Drank beautifully but in prime — 10 years ago
Old world style from 98. Rock candy nose, slight funk mid palate and gorgeously round finish. Drinking well, very well. Delish. — 11 years ago

3L bottle drinking perfectly right now, and though '08 was not an easy year , this chateauneuf du pape cuvée réservée is clearly a winner. jams with old world silks. Thankful for my new coravin to taste this with my son, again and again. Drinking perfectly now. No need to wait — 9 years ago
Deep dark fruits full of spice in an old world style. Yummy #Rioja — 10 years ago
Very old world on the nose with notes of dark berry fruit and earth. Beautiful acidity with nice tannins that don't overwhelm. Finish is short to medium. — 10 years ago
Unique / Bordeaux style wine. Needs time to open and despite the age, would improve with decanting this wine. Old world nose, well balanced on mid palate with forest notes and wild berries. Medium finish — 10 years ago
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Vosges... It's a weird experience for me; it's like a hybrid of California and the old world. Seems high pH/soft and the oak is sweet, even if they are second fill barrels. Maybe the sandstone is a big part of it? Interesting and tasty wine for sure — 11 years ago
Too good for the money! A text book example of the quality Old World wines can produce when using newer technology and Old World Instincts. 100% Tempranillo A must try from La Rioja Alta. — 11 years ago
