Great white wine enjoyed with Amy grilling Turkey Burgers at 1894 Alex — 3 months ago
Cherry, oak, and violet. Bold for a Pinot with a touch of clove. — 3 months ago
One of the best zinfindel’s, dry, full bodied and a great nose, thoroughly enjoyed the complex notes in this one. 2017 is a good year right now. Aged nicely, but would love to have a few more to see how well they do in the next year or so — 4 months ago

It’s got that CA profile. Dusty earth and tooti frooti but also has some good spice. But yea, that CA profile. Elegant, sweet and balanced. Not big but small and pure. Nice. — 6 months ago
Awesome raspberry and milky once it's aerated. Fav Pinot — 9 years ago
Sweet, fruity, mild spices that sustain. Holds its own — 13 years ago
I’ve waxed (eloquent? Well, at least waxed!! 🤔) about the virtues and quality of this excellent 2020 Zinfandel multiple times, but this wine is still punching well above its weight (the so-called “leftovers” that didn’t make the single vineyard cut), long finish, lovely!! Going to the Bedrock pickup party in Sonoma tomorrow to get some of the 2024s I’ve already purchased, so this is a great warmup!! — 2 months ago
Medium ruby color with a lighter rim. Aromas of red berries, violets, wet gravel and pine resin. The pallet is full of red cherry and blueberry fruit with additional notes of baking spices, black tea and dried herbs. Crisp acidity, plush and medium bodied. A bit of grippy tannin. Always very consistent. — 3 months ago
Still kicking. I just wish the oak toned down a bit. Great fruit and well made. Dail back that oak and it would be fantastic. — 4 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. No formal notes due to the setting however, looking back on my previous notes, that assessment still applies. The 2017 Amador County continues to be an absolutely delicious expression of the variety. Drink now through 2032. — 4 months ago
Rich cocoa and cedar over raspberry, cola, and black cherry. Flavorful and smooth. — 5 months ago
Dark in color. Super fruity on the nose. Blackberry and plumb notes. Peppery, leathery, earthy finish. — 6 months ago

One of my favorites — 10 years ago
Consistently excellent Bordeaux-style red blend
(Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc)
Fruit forward cherry, plum, blackberry, with a nice oakey finish

Deep Ruby red color, blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a splash of Petite Sirah, with aromas of dark fruit, floral and oaky herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and sweet currants with cacao and espresso notes. Full-body, good balanced, fine tannins on a medium+ finish ending a bit spicy and oak character. Nice Value! — 3 months ago
Bought from Far Niente in Napa, 2025. We both love it. — 4 months ago
Heavy hitting red. Lush. Nice. Smooth. Snack your face, red. — 5 months ago
Turley remains my number one and two favorite wine. An absolute masterpiece out of Napa Valley. Pairs well with red meat and spiced vegetables. — 6 months ago
Pretty impressive for a Pinot — 7 months ago
Balanced but fruit is front and center through to the finish with a soft velvety tongue. The bourbon barrels come through with a deliciously harmonious, and unique surprise. — 7 years ago
