Had over the course of a couple of nights. First night was a classic Chinon on the nose and palate, although a little lighter bodied than many other Olgas I have had. Good spice on the palate and barnyard on the nose. Second night the nose was similar but the palate mellowed. A solid Chinon but not the best I've had. Still a good value in the high-20s. — 10 years ago
The Ridge Lytton Springs Zin 2012 was excellent bang for buck at $32. I also gather it is tough to find. Silky and smooth with good berries and a hint of vanilla. The tannins were youngish and I'd expect the body to develop over the next couple years. nice oaky finish. Very pleased. — 11 years ago
Awesomr napa red blend. Eight years in and still youthful characteristics. Red fruit aromatics, noticeable tannin that doesn't overpower. Couple more years will do it good but tasting fantastic tonight! — 11 years ago
Solid, deep and stylish.
Could get only better in a couple of years, especially in elegance. — 11 years ago
Seems like the fruit bonked. It would be nice to have tried it a couple years ago, but the acidity tells me it might have balanced again in a few years, so who knows :) — 12 years ago
Subtle nose, but distinctly Pinot noir. More serious rose than what I usually drink. It was good, but I need to try a couple more of these. — 10 years ago
Fantastic cab from Napa. I had it in their tasting room, took a couple bottles with me and joined the wine club. — 10 years ago
Second time in a couple weeks. Very good.

Pretty awesome, like Cali should be. Elegant, balanced and still has great acid. Probably can go for a couple more years easy. — 11 years ago
Great with sushi! Clean and strong mineral flavors... Enjoy! — 11 years ago
Last one - still very rich, smooth and very pleasant — 10 years ago
I had very high expectations for this wine. I had heard a lot of very good things about Bedrock. This was my first one.
It came out of the bottle hot. Despite a couple of hours, it remained mostly hot. Strawberry and cassis on the nose. Definite American oak. A slightly bitter and metallic finish.
I was surprised to read the back label that claimed this was cool climate. It doesn't feel like that at all.... — 10 years ago

03' Abreu Rothwell Hyde. Predominately CB, CF, A small percentage of Merlot & PV sourced from Madrona Ranch & Thorevilos vineyards. It certainly was a challenging vintage.
I poured myself a small glass right when it opened .... it closed up in about five minutes. You have to decant this wine for a couple of hours. This wine is in a good spot right now. Tannins are so beautifully structured throughout the wine. Black fruits are soft and elegant. I would certainly love to try this again in 3/4 years. Best 03' I've had! — 10 years ago

Enjoyed this bottle immensely tonight (2011 vintage). I had all but given up on CDP and had reduced from a significant stock down to just 3 bottles over the last couple years. Many were either too hot/alcoholic or too barnyardy/bretty for my tastes. This was neither. Just delicious, clean fruit with great balance, approachability, and surprising complexity that emerged with air. Loved it, and so did my wife, who is not usually a fan of Grenache-based wines. — 9 years ago
