Mindfuk wine, odd fino sherry nose, oceanspray pink grapefruit , VA — 9 years ago
Odd field blend. Unusual flavors. A bit funky to begin, but it developed with air time. A bit of prunishness. — 9 years ago
Frankly: I am surprised at how dynamic and Mâcon this is at 6+ years! It was said and chirpy as only wines with dry extract can be. Delicious with roasted potato leek soup -especially in this odd season between an Indian Summer and that penetrating November rain. Great tension here. — 9 years ago
Dry white refreshing distinctive wine. Accessible without odd tastes and it's made from organic wines. — 9 years ago
First time tasting this rose. It was delightful on a warm afternoon — 9 years ago
Still ruby but with brickish red rims. At first an odd nose but with air this became flamboyant with mushroom notes and odd dusty fruit. With air more complexity and some sour cherries and soy. Long finish. This wine is controversial but not tonight, it's outstanding. — 9 years ago
2012 - outstanding aromas of curry spice and dark berry fruit, really seductive. Odd then that the palate doesn't quite follow through, there's plenty of fruit but it's a little lean and the strong jasmine tea notes in the tannins are just out of balance. Could be indicative of the 2012 vintage, even the Akarua from that year was not mind blowing. Still a very fine effort, I could happily sit sniffing away at the glass for hours. $47.95 at LCBO — 9 years ago
Interesting and quite complex wine, rich and good with cheeses. Bought at odd bins? — 10 years ago
Seemed maybe a bit beyond its day... had a bit of an odd aroma. But still good and interesting! ... day 2: wow, much nicer. Changed my rating. Opening up recommended! — 10 years ago
Warm and toasty with a menthol finish. Odd but nice. — 11 years ago
Chalky and mineral on the nose but with rich, velvety fruit on the palate, some malolactic and a long, pleasantly odd finish that leaves a hint of nectarine rind on the tongue along with lingering notes of...bubblegum? Cotton candy? Not sweet, but there's something unexpected and candy-like in that ballpark... — 9 years ago
A touch of VA. Wood and leather. Good structure. Menthol. Better on the nose, but a bit odd intense. From mag — 9 years ago
Such an unusual and delicious wine. Definitely a food wine. A bit odd to drink as a stand alone. But absolutely perfect with a roast chicken with orange slices and a rosemary/sage/thyme bundle. — 9 years ago
Very odd in the beginning. Blew off early. Melted in my mouth. — 10 years ago
2009. Deep golden, almost brownish hue. Some odd aromas (black olive?) on opening, but was beautiful after a 2-3 hour decant. $62 from Astor Wines, New York. — 10 years ago
Great odd variety. Not too heavy but offers complexity — 10 years ago
Fleeting n the palate. Good finish. Could be in an odd place. More cerebral than pleasurable. — 11 years ago

I dunno. Pretty quiet overall and specifically flat in the mid palate. Root day? Odd spot? I mean, the tart red fruit I expect is there, there's just no dynamic range. — 8 years ago
