I was looking for '09 Bordeaux to break my Burgundy obsession and I stumbled on this. Young but balanced and very approachable now. — 8 years ago
How else to warm up for a trade tasting of invigorating Champagne this afternoon? Penetrating Sercial Madeira from the year that brought us the Boy Scouts of America. If wine were merit badges perhaps I'd nearly be an Eagle by now... After this evening's tasting I'll have quite a heavy merit badge sash for Champagne -an obsession that can reach no surfeit -it becomes more fascinating and evermore nuanced. For the moment however I'm awash in crushed kumquats in honey, marmalade, hazelnuts and roast peanuts -all layered among so much more in one of the richest Sercial Madeiras I've tried to date. — 9 years ago

The introduction to my natural wine obsession. Carrot, mango madness — 10 years ago
Recent Barbera obsession continues. Big but smooth. Gorgeous but tiny bite at the end. Settles so well. Great with burger or pizza if going heavy even for a lighter wine. — 8 years ago
Off dry with a good acid backbone and a very nice silky round body... the Riesling obsession continues.... — 8 years ago
This bottling is my new found favorite obsession! Wonderfully full bodied for an Oregon Pinot. Great fruit and spice on the nose. Full, round fruit with hints of sweet earth and the spice comes back around on the finish... Am loving this wine and can't get enough of it! — 9 years ago
Really enjoyed. Maybe a new obsession — 9 years ago
The 2014 Domaine De la Grand'Cour Le Clos Fleurie is my current obsession, but these were all delicious and fun to taste back to back (to back to back...). A study in granite, flowers and crunchy red fruit. Thanks for the great event @Max Kogod and #kogodwinemerchant, and thanks for hosting @Molly Brooks-Thornton and #bankershillrestaurant — 9 years ago
I admit, I have a milld obsession with Greer wines. Gorgeous crimson color. On the nose: flint and dark fruits. Extremely layered with a smooth texture and incredibly long finish. Dark berries galore, baking spice (cinnamon?) and trademark Rutherford dust. 3 hour decant. This is a baby. I try to keep my hands off them but they keep calling to me in the cellar 😂. Incredible now, but I think these will improve with a few more years in bottle. — 8 years ago
my new Chardonnay obsession... nuff said — 9 years ago
Perfect blend of acidity and crisp citrus flavors. I had to move on from my rose obsession. A good Riesling is sooo much better. — 9 years ago
Another wine to fuel my obsession on Bandol. It's getting extra points for showcasing that age. — 9 years ago
A pleasant surprise. Holy shit this is good. Light nose but robust in flavor. Balanced. New obsession. KThanks. — 10 years ago
I am in the midst of a Cour-Cheverny obsession so this hits the spot. Immensely. — 10 years ago
Earthy, forest floor, herbaceous, balanced by sweet stewed fruit and enough tannin and oak. The last of my obsession with the 2010. — 10 years ago
