I haven’t had a new world cab Sauvignon in ages. This maker gets some press as she is working in a former apartheid state, but really this wine deserves kudos: most of all contains tension & a wirey ness that belies its cab Sauvignon credentials. Serious chocolate notes. Drink it on cold room temp side & you will be happy. Good wet winter night wine. — 4 years ago

Interesting project pairing U.S. winemakers with those from emerging global economies. Ntsiki Biyela, the South African half of this pairing, is a rising star and I'm dying to get her stuff solo. This one's a unique blend, at least for me: Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, with some Malbec and merlot. Rich and ripe, dark fruit, fairly straightforward but wonderfully intense flavor. — 9 years ago
