Very young and tannic just opened, after 1 hour in a decanter with extensive shaking opens up nicely delivering black dried fruit in the palate, resembles some young Barolo like the ones from Ravera cru, Novello. Awesome! @22 years age, long life ahead — 7 years ago
@Delectable - had Vino Salida Novello “New Red” Zinfandel- Sangiovese Blend - nice fruit-forward red blend — 7 years ago
Bread and nuts flavor came from my glass. Small bubbles, Not so sour compared with Brut. Quite elegant. The flavor is not so strong compared with P, but I prefer this. @1050/375, Selco, 181209
Long time no taste for 6 years. Much better than before, ample aroma including nuts, toast, citrus fruity flavors. Balanced acidity. @11000, A Novello, 240701 — 7 years ago
Novelty Hill borrows from the ancient Latin phrase In Novale Novello, “in virgin ground I plant young vines,” for its name. I didn’t realize that there aren’t vines on the actual Novelty Hill in Washington (located about 5 miles east of Redmond). Oh well, so much for my Hill vs Hill face-off with Pritchard Hill’s Bryant Family. This 2014 Novelty Hill Cabernet Sauvignon talks some serious smack, and even brings a serious punch, but that would have been Go-Karts vs Formula One. That said, this is one hell of a Go-Kart. In the low $20s, my first comparison is to Charles Smith’s Substance Cs, and this blows the doors off that wine, and more than justifies its slightly higher price-point. Jumps out of the glass with black cherry, cassis, mocha, licorice, and a heavily spiced cranberry potpourri, while still managing to weave in a savory undertone that emphasizes the noticeable balance. Washington offers extraordinary value across the board, but this is a value even by Washington standards. 92+ — 8 years ago

My new love in Barolo vineyards, from Novello and some Nebbiolo Rosé, amazing nose, but not ready at all, just nice to try. — 7 years ago

A big wine with ripe cherries dark bitter chocolate and some savoury earthy notes. Lovely length. Lidl €9.99 bargain. — 9 years ago
A bold fruity nose of goji berries, raspberry, long leaf pine and candied red fruits. The flavors are bold and lingering fruit, with a gentle tannin, and vegetal finish. Gentle sweetness on the start and Mid palate, with a pale red color of raspberry jam. — 6 years ago
...my fav! Novello in Boca... — 7 years ago
Absolutely delicious
Made in the area of Novello apparently, but tastes like it is from Serralunga ( licorice hype🤣)
To call this just nebbiolo sounds underestimating its breed
Very intense, long and complex
Tannin nearly resolved, but so velvety nevertheless

This blend of 1 Cru from Barolo and 1 from Novello, 1 Serralunga and 1 Castillo Falletto is always my favorite from this house. Showing great with potential to continue to evolve. — 9 years ago
More evolution than I expected. Still sound but perhaps better a year ago. Barolo Lecinquevigne is a blend of Nebbiolo from five vineyards; Barolo, Verduno, Grinzane Cavour, La Morra and Novello. Sweet strawberries, orange notes, roses, leather, tobacco, and subtle hints of violets and tar. Nice pair with Cari's lasagna. — 9 years ago

Wow. White peach and nectarine on the nose, jasmine and white flowers and honey as this opens. Great mid body, buttery, spritzy acids, lots of minerals and density. Day two and aromas are off the charts. Brilliant stuff. — 5 years ago
