Outstanding. Nearly opaque garnet. Nose is beautiful; Violets, roses, candied plum, chocolate, and cherries
Full bodied and coats the tongue thoroughly but somehow pulls off delicacy. Starts with fine tannins, then chocolate covered cherries. Lots of layers. Long finish. Yea for noon on Saturday! — 5 years ago
On the nose, baked & slightly liqueured fruits of; lots of blue fruits, plum, black raspberries, raspberries, underbrush, saline, violets, and dry brown top soil. On the palate, concentrated blue fruits of; boysenberries, blueberries, olallieberries. Stewed plums, black raspberries & raspberries. They are in a liqueured syrupy state. The tannins are silty. Wild berry cola/licorice, underbrush, touch of vanilla & caramel, loamy dry soils, steep fruit tea, dry stones, liquid violets & the acidity pours over the palate. The rich, thick, fruity finish doesn't stop. It's drinking very nicely but likely peaked a year ago. However, still a nice example of how well his wines age. Photo tour of our April visit to Noon Winery. Winery, estate vines, open top fermenter and Drew Noon pouring our tasting. He is a very down to earth/salt of the earth guy. Thanks again for all the time you gave to us. @ Gary Danko with Filet and chocolate soufflé. — 7 years ago
One of these Rieslings which need to be decanted! Much better the next day!!!! Flabby and flat upon opening for dinner 🍴 however next at noon - Classic fresh cut garden hose aka ⛽️. Golden color. Sour mandarin (Randgpur lime). Just great. Will cut through any food except for steak. From winebid dirt cheap as no one knows these wines. — 7 years ago
Yes it is Noon and yes the wines are big and the alcohol is a bit high. BUT the wine is extremely well balanced. Great acidity and a great representation of Langhorne Creek. — 8 years ago
Mm flowers and fruit. Lilies, cantaloupe. Fun acidity. Love this (at noon). Awesome color. — 8 years ago
Because everyone should drink port before noon on a Sunday, that's why. And a nice one this is. Pleasant thick dark fruit up front, Sweet Mother Alcohol coming through to remind you you're about to be on the impaired side of the equation. A good lingering of dark fruit finishes things off well. — 5 years ago
Always a crowd pleaser...honeysuckle, peach, apricot and lychee, med acid....perfect at noon on Memorial Day! — 6 years ago
Love it. Noon time pasta in oil. Tremendous. Going back for more. Fresh. Good acidity. Flavorful. — 7 years ago
Needed a fork and knife for this wine. Opened it at noon for dinner at 9:30PM. Stunning texture, with some bold dark fruit, leather and tobacco. Stellar after 11-12 years in the bottle. — 7 years ago
Great Chignin. Fairly light body, ruby color, peppery. I opened it this morning for cooking and am highly tempted to drink before noon. Also good value -- not expensive. — 7 years ago
Incredible. Even at noon. Yum. Vanilla. Blackberry. — 8 years ago

With grilled flank steak ( rare).
Excellent blend Pinot and homatage. Been buying wine from Groote Condtatia since 1972, when it was 84c a bottle, sold Thursday 10 till noon, limit 1 case — 5 years ago
2nd best wine ever. Just grabbed a taste before a dinner party at the house. Decanting since Noon for a 6:30 start at the suggestion of the winemaker. I've got 2 hours to go and just couldn't wait. Beautifully balanced fruit from the start and the finish is just extraordinary. Lingers forever. Tannins have mellowed after 20 yrs in the bottle and the structure is a 10. Sorry to gloat, but this is damn good. — 7 years ago
Well balanced fun Syrah - I could have it from noon! Yumm w Round beef. — 7 years ago
This wine was decanted at noon. 7 hours later, it is still going strong. Makes the standard Beaucastel taste like a Côte du Rhône. The old vine Mourvèdre gives so much savory bacon to the glass that it blows the mind away. The magnum was to much. Would have aged faster in a standard bottle. This could have waited another 10 years easily. — 7 years ago

This was before noon which is kind of insane but also the best day ever. — 5 years ago
