Perhaps my favorite red wine produced in the contiguous south of Italy. This vintage is all over the place with camphor, creosote, tar, tobacco. I have to meet these people this year. This was a great light rose with some fresh crispy tones, some bitterness (in a good way) with lingonberry notes with a middle long aftertaste. Great on its own now during the summer or with lighter food on a pic nic. We had it with a vegetable pasta. No hit of sweetness which i found nice — 8 years ago

2 years ago this was a hot disjointed mess. Now it is a borderline masterpiece. The tannins have resolved and unity reigns. Red fruit, vanilla, spice box. Lovely. I'm not sure if Nic Allen or Luc Morlet is the winemaker but kudos to whomever crafted this. — 9 years ago
